Talk about a song painting a picture!!Loved Logen's posting of Iron Horse by Mean Mary. Speaking of John Gorka couldn't resist posting this one of his classics from the mid 1990s. Prescient.

Logen -- ever listen to, or see, Eva Cassidy, given who you post about here, I thought you might?
She was incredible (R.I.P, passed away way too soon). D.C. area performer who sang songs in the jazz, Americana, roots genre.
Nice call with this Jackal show ! We are only 2 episodes in but like it a lotBest British spy shows I saw recently 1. by far -- Slow Horses, 2. Black Doves, 3. Treason. Not technically a British spy show, but involves British spies, The Diplomat with Kerri Russell is good.
I'm in the middle of Jackal now, and like it.
Post this with great sadness as David Johansenās family revealed he is suffering from stage 4 brain cancer. A side of him not in concert with his more generally recognized public NYDs and Buster Poindexter personnas but he very much embraced Americana music also.
I have not seen it but have seen him in his various incarnations probably around the same number as yours. And Funky But Chic is one of my favorite R&at.Yeah very sad news. Did you watch that Personality Crisis special. He was essentially doing Dolls/Solo stuff as a toned down Buster. With personal vignettes tossed in. Was very good. I must have seen him solo 6-10 times while I was in college. Always a great show. Funky, but chic.
One of the āstumpingā music trivia questions back in the day was who produced the Beau Brummells first two albums. Obviously a giveaway answer, it was Sly under his given name of Sylvester Stewart who was house producer for SF based August Records.I see Hulu is showing a documentary on Sly Stone this month. Will have to give it a watch when I get back from Denver next week.
I'm looking forward to the new season of Daredevil (Born Again) on Disney+ on March 4th. I just re-watched season 1 and was reminded how good this Marvel edition is. I have a lot of binging to do before then.
