Homeland And All Things Maher

The guy could do absurd but heartfelt comedy like Royal Tennenbaums, be a campy, hilarious Lex Luthor, portray the stubborn but brilliant Norman Dale and the most memorable 70s street cop this side of Serpico with Popeye Doyle.

An amazing career, especially for someone who didn't really catch a break until he was 36.
Lied to join the Marines at 16 stayed in 5 years.

David Letterman asked him why, not missing a beat, he said to get laid. Letterman said then why join the Marines? he repeated to get laid. Funny guy too.

In between shows right now, have watched Paris, Texas, Layer Cake, Virgin Suicides (have seen it a few times, great flick) and Let the Right One In in the last week. Guess I got pretty messed up taste, huh?

Rewatched the Gene Tacovic part of Better Call Saul over the past week and just finished off the Saul Gone episode and it is absolutely criminal that no one, NOBODY, won a stupid Emmy for that show. I mean the cinematography, the music, the writing and directing and, especially Bob Odenkirk or Rhea Seehorn. It’s a huge black mark. Worse than The Wire never winning anything either.

OMG pm Happy for the Dance Misery club
This is year 5 of competing for her. She’s actually down from 10 dances last year to 8 this year. Don’t get me started on the finances.

The older one plays soccer, volleyball and basketball and somehow it’s cheaper than dance and about the same amount of time. Although, the volleyball is getting nuts.

"Conclave" was an amazing film, really close to a masterpiece in my book.

But then again the could make a movie of Stanley Tucci peeling potatoes for two hours and I'd pay to see it.
