Homeland And All Things Maher
I know it’s mostly tv shows discussed in this thread, but I saw the movie Knives Out the other night (it’s on amazon prime video) and thought it was really good with a great cast.

Also, Ana De Armas wowwwww she is something
Saw it last year and thought it was a very good, entertaining mystery. Funniest part was James Bond (Daniel Craig) doing a "goober" accent.

If you like National Geographic type stuff “ The Elephant Queen “ on Apple TV is excellent

Just watched a free Facebook streaming of James Taylor's July 4, 2015 concert from Fenway Park. Amazing how his voice sounds exactly as it did when I first heard him in 1968. Great show except for his song Ghosts of Fenway about the Red Sox beating Yanks in 2004 AL finals lol.

That’s why he’s dead to me.

HBO Crime Story Documentary " I'll be gone before dark " 2nd of 6 episodes airs tonight. It's excellent

I am probably late to the party here but I finally got around to Uncut Gems on Netflix. Our esteemed alumnus Mike Francessa has a small but memorable cameo. I am no Adam Sandler fan but I liked the movie. Good fast paced story, Kevin Garnett has a major role. Little heavy on the F-bombs but that aside, I recommend it. The character played by Sandler reminds me of a guy I worked for on Long Island...

On Apple TV the new Tom Hanks WW2 Navy movie Greyhound came out last night. We liked it a lot

I hope they make another season. I like those types lf shows. I will try Caliphate next.
Isn’t Fauda in Hebrew w subtitle? Looked like it would be good but I’m not a fan of subtitles.
It is both. The Israeli dialogue is in English. When the Palestinians speak it is subtitled.
Started watching Fauda and did not think that I’d like it because of the cc. But you get caught up in the story and the action. I’ve seen the 1st 2 seasons and look forward to viewing the 3rd.
I also started watching it. Just finished episode 1 season 3, I really like it.

fauda - it took about 3 or 4 episodes to get use to the subtitling.
i am on season 2 episode 2. i am enjoying the show.
it seems with every other sentence, the closed caption and spoken english are different. i think the subtitle translation into english is being done from the hebrew script.

Haven't seen it. Watched "Warrior Nun" on Netflix. Started out promising but got a bit convoluted at the end... There will have to be a Season 2 to tie up the loose ends.

Fear City a 3 or 4 part documentary on Netflix about the mafia in nyc is pretty interesting

Kranmars; did you watch caliphate? If so ,how is it? Just finished Fauda looking for a new show to watch.

i really enjoyed fauda. it shows how ruthless both sides are in the israel/palestine conflict. i hope its more fiction than fact. i was surprised at how the season finale ended. i did not see that coming. 2 score years ago i spent some time in israel. one story - i was with 4 yutes - ages were early 20's. 2 palestinians. 2 israelis. one palestinian turns to me and says - see this dirt, we have lived here for the last 2 thousand years. one israeli says to me - see that same dirt, we have lived here from 2 thousand to 5 thousand years ago.

What was needed was for a neutral third party to say, "Hey dummies, you are probably related so stop with the stupidity and build something."

it's 3 years old but the John Lewis Documentary called " get in the way " on abs is excellent

I watched this as well. Figuring it would be the typical Davinci Code type fake Catholic stuff and it pretty much is. A few easter eggs like her love interest being "JC" I'll give it a "meh"
Has anyone watched "The Expanse" on Amazon Prime?
I started this when it was a SciFi channel show. It is decent. Got a Canadian cast quality to it but some good plot twists and turns.
