Castle Rock is pretty good. Not The Shining good but a step up from Haven and Under The Dome if you ever saw those from the "Stephen King Multiverse"

I forced myself to watch all 10 episodes of Season 2 of Iron Fist. On the plus side, Danny Rand is a slightly less whiny/touchy-feely full of angst and doubt, New Age-vigilante-superhero. (Emphasis on "slightly") On the negative side the writing is just terrible. It is inconsistent and illogical and the character development is just lame and forced. The last 5 minutes of the last episode was the best part of the entire season but it was just a vague tease and next installment will probably be more of the same crap. The rest of the season was just painful and forced. In for a penny though if you are watching all of these Marvel series on Netflix you kind of have to watch them all since they are connected. I don't think it is the cast. I think it is 100% the writing that is so bad. If they haven't started on the new season yet hopefully they do a fully house cleaning and salvage the series.

Finished up season two last night. It sets up a possible season three. Many surprises in this very wild tale. The bodies are starting to pile up.
 
Started watching "The First" on Hulu. Stars Sean Penn. Kind of long winded melodramatic take on the near future. It is both good and frustrating to watch. Too much like watching a night time network drama that my wife enjoys like Greys Anatomy than a traditional Sci Fi show. Just better actors and a sort of sci-fi premise. But the focus is almost entirely upon relationships and personal drama and the race to space premise is just window dressing.
 
The Looming Tower on Hulu was interesting.

Im back in the states this week so I'm catching up on Mayans. So far its just ok. I just don't care about the characters as much as SoA.

Day 1 to Oktoberfest and vacation kickoff couldn’t have gone better. Holy cow German beer is good. We got whole table at Augustiner tent and in 2 days have new new couples as friends who both are inviting us back next year to be their guests. German people so friendly. Obviously Nathalie and I dressing like locals today didn’t hurt. Seasoned veterans like us we had no issues plus we knew the beer was stronger so paced ourselves :)

Is that a loose-fitting shirt, Mike?!!!?[/quote] loose depending on how many beer drank and also how it’s tucjed in to the leather traditional lederhosen shorts I was wearing. The problem with the shorts is you need to undo like 3 buttons to go to the bathroom and then tucking the shirt back in correctly just gets annoying. :) our friends from Munich and Austria though said we looked legit. The only small detail is with my outfit an old school traditional Bavarian wears a white shirt so our friend is picking me up one for next time but our Austrian friends said the outfits were totally legit for there
