Once the roster was set, I just gave in to “he is Rick Pitino “ like everyone else did.
Can you imagine this board if virtually anyone else got rid of everyone and filled it with all mid major kids including a 1/4 of Iona roster.

I was intrigued with Dingle and thought Ledlum would be solid. Though I did point out that was not sure he could be a 4 in BE

Mike, you are correct. I am guilty of being a bit harsh on Dingle but that is mostly on defense of Jenkins while in discussion with Marrilac

I totally wasn't directing any of this at you btw. Literally never even crossed my mind

My point Is simple. Lots of people piling on when we are down and saying some crazy stuff about the kids. If any St Johns coach would have gotten those same players starting with Taylor and virtually all the kids after this board would have been going nuts in a positive way just like we did when Pitino got them

We all rightfully believe in him and we all got very high on the recruiting once he got Taylor from then on based on the kids and who else was recruiting them.

Which Players from Taylor on other than Ayi weren't being recruited by big time major programs ?

I believe I questioned everything until Dingle.
Also thought Wilcher would have bigger role and Jenkins would be 3rd guard

I am not doing it but I am sure someone could pull up 50 posts of me questioning roster construction. Spent summer arguing with many on here.

And anyway what is the point? If MJ saying the players were plenty good, why do we suck? Is he saying Pitino overrated? Because even I am not willing or would go there.
