Head Coaching Changes

There is already much speculation about Porter Moser on Loyola of Chicago boards, which I follow as a fan of that program too, about him going now to BC and other schools like Marquette.

I bet (but don't know) that no HC has moved between Loyola of Chi and DePaul, since they are big time rivals in that City, with lots of alums thoughout metro Chicago area, and debate about which school is better and more represents the City, etc.

Why in the world did DeP ever hire back Dave Latoi (sp) anyway, he did lousy there the first time, what made them think the second time would be any better?

I feel worse for DeP fans than for us, at least in our case we've had modest success here and there, DeP has been down forever. They get recruits but they never win with them. Another once very proud franchise in the dumps for a long time.

Travis Steele will be fine as long as he stays off twitter

My guess on Big East Coaches:

Hot Seat
Dave Leitao  -awful coach, but under contract through 23-24 season
Wojo -coaching for his job over the remaining games

Safe, But Getting Warm
Travis Steele
Lavall Jordan

Leitao seems like he was only kept around because of the recruiting class he had coming in.

As for Steele and Jordan, any idea how they've done recently with recruiting?

Will he want the gig, or will he use them for a pay bump?

He has a top 25 team. Why would he want the BC job?

I don't think he'd want BC, hence pay bump. But are people really thinking Marquette opens? I think you'd be crazy not to take a long look at them.

How often does he get a top 25 team? If he's actually looking for a bigger gig, he needs to strike while the iron is hot. Last time around he let it cool to the point where only Oliva would be interested.

Vaccaro thinks Shaheen Holloway would be good choice for Fordham

I would hold out for a better job if I were Holloway. Fordham is where careers die.

I think that's the reason he should take it. If he wins there, he would be a candidate for every top job that's open.

I don't think it kills his career as much as someone else's. Neubauer doesn't get a head gig again anytime soon. If Holloway failed at Fordham, I think any open mid-major in the Northeast would still want him.

If I were BC I'd reach out to Holloway. They need to shake things up a bit.

I am told that Fordham does not give its men's basketball coach a whole lot of flexibility in the admissions office.

An honorable stance . . . and one they should take right to the Patriot League.

I think BC is going to reach out to Howard Eisley. He's an alumni and he's an assistant on Juwan Howard's staff at Michigan who's currently ranked 3rd in the country.

I don't think there is any upside to Holloway taking the Fordham job .  A lot of guys ehi
hsd put up dime good numbers elsewhere , failed with the Rams .  The School's administration , unlike other Jesuit schools like GTown, Marquette   , Creigjhton, Gonzaga , etc hasn't seemed interested in building a good program for over 30 years . Why would it change now ?  A better option for Holloway is wait for Seton Hall or Rutgers to open up or , take a step up job somewhere else . BC ? They seem uninterested in BB , not quite as bad as Fordham but , that Coaching job isn't the same since they left the BE . They will probably like ND , Pitt , Syracuse flounder in the ACC as they have shown .             I would like to see the Rams in the MAAC , which doesn't do anything for Holloway .
