Lefty isnt playing any meaningful minutes this year. He didnt even get meaningful minutes vs the cupcakes we played.

This thought that guys like Prey and Lefty are going to provide anything this year is crazy talk.
You like Vince, who moves like a newborn baby deer😂

Prey is technically sound and just has to adjust to the American game and learn Pitino’s defense. Since he’s not learning skills or having to gain strength, he can make an exponential jump by January.

Vince is terrible. Im off him.

But Prey isnt any better. He will be eaten alive if he gets any minutes in big east play.

Yeah, my bad. I shouldn't have typed that.

My emotions get the best of me.

I got really down after the Baylor game, then we were favorite 8.5pnt or 9.5pnt favorites going into the Georgia game and lose that.
Then I start asking when will we get a big win.
You see these other schools do it, just look at today. L'ville killed Indiana wvu beats Gonzaga in OT.

It wasn't appropriate to type what I typed. I gotta check my emotions better, I get to down.
I think it’s perfectly natural to be down and emotional after tough loses. I’m literally right there with you. Just too many people saying this team sucks and the season is over after 7 games. It’s just too reactionary.

I don’t fault you or anyone for being upset we took some bad loses, it was a failure of a road trip.

We will be ok. This team is far too talented.

Cheer up SJUWillRockNYC! #2 Connecticut lost twice in Maui to unranked teams. Creighton lost to an unranked team last week. $#!+ happens. Let's not all be Chicken Littles. As someone mentioned, we are just 7 games into the season. And we're 5-2 with wins over two probable tournament teams and the two losses were to probable Quad 1s.

Honestly, I’d be less surprised if UGA made the NCAA than if either UVA or NM made it but your point is well made. We have two losses by a total of 3 points. Obviously, not the end of the world. The frustrating part is we essentially gave the games away with disastrous coaching and getting bullied. That doesn’t bode well for BE play where all the coaches are top notch and the brand of basketball is physical.

The good thing is there is a lot of talent on the roster. So much talent in fact that we almost beat UGA despite Mike White beating down CRP and Kadaray, Smith, Scott, and Wilcher having career bad games.

Hopefully, CRP can set his ego aside and let the players play basketball the way they know how. If that’s the case there is no reason we can’t be successful.

Some of you guys are losing your scouting eye.
Prey has been useful in every appearance thus far and moves well without the ball.
Vince will improve without a doubt. But the the guy you count on to bring us to the next level has basically underperformed in all but two games. This season can be a bust if Smith, Richmond and Scott don't play to their potential.
I suggest you review the stats of the Georgia game for those three because their combined lack of effort on the offensive end LOST the game.

I am one of the most outspoken fans of Prey. He and Zuby can be a strong 1-2 by the end of this season. Vince can play against huge centers...he just needs to learn to play to his size.

Obviously time to play team ball on both ends of court. Things are not as bad as many think, but clearly Johnnies have to get on a roll heading into BE play where first five games include three on the road. These guys need to share the ball, concentrate on D and value the rock. We are not good enough to coast against anyone. Break your ass every game and for goodness sakes play smart.

Georgia is probably better — but not by that much — than Providence, Butler, DePaul, and definitely better than Villanova, Georgetown and Seton Hall.

I’d rather learn this lesson in November than in December/January/February. Hopefully it happens

It was no time to teach a bad lesson. Cost us the game.
