Harvard, Sat., Nov. 30, 5p, Peacock

anyone notice at the end of the UVA game- Dev and Jaiden passing it back and forth as to "not" get the charged with the TO once the shot clock ran out...?lol

Think Jaiden ended up passing it back with 2 seconds left... don't think Dev was "mad" but he was clearly thinking "this freshmen doesnt know his place....
I think Jaiden kept his arms down and it hit him square in the chest. Both were laughing.

On guard options, I’d opt for B, because Smith moves the ball much better to open guys for good shots. Kadary can make a fancy low % pass sometimes, but too often in traffic with minimum results. On other end, I believe Smith is the better defender on the ball. I do submit, this may be a “pick your poison” scenario overall, but give me the guy willing to dive on loose balls, Smith.
Only comparable thing si have seen to a seemingly good player coming to one of my teams and being this bad is Jason Bay.

If he did mouth off to Coach, then he is out of line but he is not wrong about being on the court at end of games. No way Kadary can be on the court at the end of games when teams are going to intentionally foul. He is terrible. Smith should be out there every time. He can control the tempo with his speed, see the floor, better shooter from floor and line and may be one of their better rebounders. You finish those type of games with your five best foul shooters regardless of position. Apologize to coach and team and move on.

As I understand he was not on the floor because he mouthed off. As opposed to he mouthed off because he was not on the floor.

YES.... seemingly lacks some amount of confidence in the "bigger" games... doesn't take the shot immediately when Open (when he's proven he can make it!).... i understand him deferring in the crunch time, but we need him to take those open / mid range shots when he has them.

Depending on how this Smith situation shakes out... think we could see more mins from Lefty in the coming games
Lefty looked lost when he was on the floor, and the other team immediately attached him. I like his game but do not think he is ready defensewise.

Lefty isnt playing any meaningful minutes this year. He didnt even get meaningful minutes vs the cupcakes we played.

This thought that guys like Prey and Lefty are going to provide anything this year is crazy talk.

How embarrassing
Yeah, my bad. I shouldn't have typed that.

My emotions get the best of me.

I got really down after the Baylor game, then we were favorite 8.5pnt or 9.5pnt favorites going into the Georgia game and lose that.
Then I start asking when will we get a big win.
You see these other schools do it, just look at today. L'ville killed Indiana wvu beats Gonzaga in OT.

It wasn't appropriate to type what I typed. I gotta check my emotions better, I get to down.

It's hard to keep our emotions in check, and remain objective as die hard fans.

I felt like Miami's football season was over when we shit the bed against GT, again. It turns out that it wasn't as big of a deal as I initially made it out to be - we are still projected to be a 3 seed in the playoffs.

Ultimately, we (Miami / St. John's) just need to take care of business, and control what's within our grasp.

I'm trekking up to Syracuse Saturday. May bring some Johnnies attire to keep things interesting.

Lefty may have to develop but Prey is already one of the most fundamentally sound players on the team and should be in the rotation

I was driving all day Sunday and missed the Georgia game. From reading this thread, the season's over because our guys lost to a ranked team and another team with a lot of talent and a good record. I had no idea the season could end in November. I guess that means that if we don't blow out Harvard, we get relegated to Division 2. I suggest everyone ready to give up calm down. Coach RP will show highlights of the Mets season and bring in Lindor to give the team a pep talk. Based on the past 25 or so years, we should have learned that nothing comes easy for this program. Any early guesses as to the point spread against Harvard?
Yes, You have correctly assessed it. The season is over.
