Harrison

Going into the stoppage of play at the 3:25 mark, Harrison was SCREAMING and pointing aggressively at Coach Lavin. Coach Martin had to intervene. When they came back from the TV timeout Lavin looked as pissed and stressed as I've ever seen him. Did anyone else catch this?

I didnt see it but Harrison needs to get under control. He is not the team player he was last year. I love his fire when he channels it, but the strife is not good for the team. When Branch comes aboard, Harrison will sit more if he is goings to be pulling the primadonna bullshit. Right now he has no NBA in his future and is planting red f.aga because of his attitude on top of it. Talented kid, but will get an "uncoachable" label if he doesn't start to mature.

No? Are you sure he was directing this at Lavin rather than the refs?

He was face to face with Lavin and his hand was about a foot or less from Lavin's face. It's the 3:25 timeout in the second half.

Yeah.

That should never, EVER occur.

And some people wanted to give Harrison a pass for his benchings earlier.

That was an absolutely disgusting display. Harrison also berated Jakarr for not getting him the ball late when Fordham was intentionally fouling.

It's been clear to me that D'Angelo is primarily concerned with his stats. All of his clear as day scoreboard watching is pretty annoying.

No one is ever above the program. He does it because he feels Lavin needs him.

I saw a similar display from him in the Charleston tournament but not as dramatic as this one.

Disgusting.

He was first yelling at refs then Lavin yelled at him to get in huddle. D'lo proceeded to yell back. Not good.

I have been to 2 games at CA, and watched a few on TV, and I can sense that things between coach and D Angelo are not good! This kid ha some issues that need to be addressed real soon if they haven't already. I get the feeling that he is very unhappy. I hope I am wrong!

DLo initially pointed over Lavin's shoulder toward either a Ref or Fordham player. He then continued to speak to Lavin and kept pointing toward Lavin's chest. It appears that he was upset over the defensive play and the foul.

He's the type of kid that will be unhappy unless he gets his way.

A more demonstrative coach wouldn't put up with that B.S.

yes i saw this. I taped the game and want to go back and see if i can tell what lead to it. No excuses for that

DLo plays with emotion. You guys are making way too much of it.

I agree with you to a point. I love Harrison and he is the soul of this team, but between this and his defense, he is playing his way out of any chance in the NBA.

Scoring combos are the most abundent type of player in college basketball. Teams won't think twice to look past Harrison for a less-skilled kid with a better attitude and higher ceiling.

At the end of the game he was smiling like he was budding up to the other players. . This guy has real problems. I've watched him last year and this year. Always making bad ass faces. I think he will be gone after this year. You can't run a program with a loose cannon.

I love guys with emotion, but showing up a coach is never ok. I didn't see it, but if it was as dramatic as people here make it, that is not good. I am confident however that D'Lo was simply in the heat of the moment...it was a very stressful game we looked like we might lose to a 1-7 team as we shot 20% for much of the game. Not making excuses for him at all, but I think he apologizes to Lavin. I'd take extreme passion over lazy ho-hum players anyday even if it costs me a technical. I did see a few times it looked like he was open and players missed him. At one point Jakarr was surrounded by 4 Fordham defenders under the hoop and Harrison was WIDE open in the corner ready for a 3 no one within 12 feet of him. Instead of passing it out Jakarr tried to play volleyball. Again though, no excuses for what he did if it was that dramatic, but this is a very heated game. He will be ok.

What would you rather him do, punch his teammates in the face or give them dirty looks? Pretty sure everyone on this board has gotten VERY heated more than a few times even at loved ones. You make up and move on.

Im sure Lav will not put up with any BS, just like he didnt before. But, i also agree if D'Angelo doesnt get his attitude under control, no NBA team will be willing to invest thouands or millions into him. Love his emotion, but needs to be channelled.

I just rewound and watched it again and Lavin was laughing/smiling when D'Angelo was yelling at the refs over his shoulder and it looked like he was still bitching about the refs when he pointed at Lavin's chest(not his face or head)

I watched when they came back from commercial again and Lavin was just giving instructions in the huddle to everyone, including D'Angelo and he didn't look stressed at all to me

Then again, look at Sprewell...you can be a headcase but still get the job done as long as you keep scoring. Appropriate behavior or not, take D'Lo off this team and we are possibly the worst Big East team and have zero offense.
