Gtown rematch game thread...

wow...we can't shoot much worse than that...I hope.
we can't defend much worse than that....i hope
Harrison will get the law of averages working in the second half and hit some...I hope
Well, I'm driving down from Albany for Wednesday night's game vs Huskies.
It worked when I drove down for Seton Hall and looks like they need my dominating presence in the cheap seats once again.

11 DOWN AT THE HALF..Disappointing performance today by the Johnnies.. Poor habits are returning in this game. It amazes me that Lavin doesn't get better free throw performance as a team. If they hit even a couple or 3 more, we'd still be in the game.d'lo looks lost on both ends.

Must take advantage of Porter's 3 fouls in the 2nd half..

Keegan Bradley just clunked one in the water on the easy par 5. UGH. Not a good JOHNNIE DAY.

I said yesterday in a post that Georgetown is just a bad match up for us. They just have too much size for us and we can't defend them inside. Although, I thought it would be closer and we would lose at the end due to the bad match up but Georgetown is just exploiting our weak interior. Also, Ive never seen a team play so badly against a zone. Just get the ball to someone flashing into the middle of the paint around the foul line. That's where the opening in the zone is. Then either turn and shoot an 8 - 10 footer or kick it out if the defense collapses. It's not rocket science.

This has eerily the same feel as the first G'Town game. We get dominated early, we claw back a little bit and are down by 11 but feels like 30. Then in the second half they ran away. Hopefully we don't let them do the same this time.

This "offense" is terrible.

We have no idea what to do.

Get bailed out on a heaved 3 and proceed to miss 1 out of 3.

Have only caught the last 5 minutes of first half; just passing ball back and forth outside. Why not have Harrison move from one side to other side with picks underneath. I'd even move him back and forth on the foul line - throw some quick jumpers. We have trouble breaking G' town's zone, what will we do against a better zone like Syracuse.

“@ECoastBias: The Hoyas shot 80% inside the arc, grabbed two-thirds of the available offensive rebounds. 8 made FTs keep #stjbb within 11.”

Nice job by Thompson - gets a walk on in with 46 seconds in the first half. Really gotta like that.

Hope that walk-on's dumb foul gets Harrison started.

If it takes a walk on fouling D'Lo on a 30 foot heave, then he should've just stayed at the hotel.

This is a concern with this team. OUr best players haven't been our best players on the big stage against GT.

No activity in the lane. All we do is play hot potato above th 3 point line.

Let's see if Lavin makes ANY adjustments in the locker room.

I'll wait..

Assume a schematic of our Zone offense will not be in HOF in Springfield. Pass it around and around and around!!!!!!!!

whoever was the poster here or the jungle who the other day was talking about how we have escaped injuries should be publicly flogged. I knew that was going to put the mush on us

Branch done for the year not 1 shred of doubt. I had a feeling we were due since we were spotless last year. The basketball gods hate this team.
