Greg St. Jean

Rapaport was a frequent visitor to practice.

Aah - thanks.
I suspect there will be an opening at Iona soon. I would recommend GSJ for the job.
Grasso is first in line and would be his if he wants it.

First Name That Comes To Mind Is @gstjean10 #SJUBB

Woke Up This Morning Thinking About #SJUBB. The Past 3 Years, & About What Is To Come?.Before Looking Too Far I Would Look At The Gem Forged From The Mullin Era That Is Young, Passionate, Hungry, & Willing To Do Whatever It Takes To Win A Great Personality To Lead This Next Era.

If not coach then give him Cragg’s AD job.

Please call him St. Jean. Greg is too close to Cragg and makes me want to vomit.

Not odd at all.

Pretty obvious GSJ wants the job and has asked his network for support.

Everyone else is campaigning for it... why not him?
He's likely not getting the job for certain, but I'll say this: GSJ with the right staff around him would yield better results than Chris produced with the staff he put around him.

Oh yeah you're right. my bad

I'd prefer him over Cluess for the long term with the right recruiters.

As HC no sorry I know you like Greg but didn't make a change to hire another guy who's never been a HC

No - I need more of a reason that "some of his players think he's a swell guy"

Come on guys. How are we even having this conversation? This is probably the only hire of the ~20 names floated that would piss me off. Might as well bring back Mullin as head coach since we're paying him the next two years anyways.

Let GSJ try as HC at a low major first. He may have a bright future, but his next stop should certainly not be St. John's head coach.

All indications point to a coach starting next season with very few wheels on the bus.

Not ignoring the obvious concern though.

He was only guy on bench that was truly involved. Ran every huddle and constant energy during play. He deserves a shot
What's the worst case 7 - 9 in Big East. We are now officially a learning on the job program. Hurley would be great esp recruiting. If offered and he turns it down we have no attraction. Give it to Greg. He wants it.

Not fair to say that yet. Might very well be right. But I'm not ready to make that statement after Trimble and Simon have left.

Is Figueroa gone? Can Cam Mack be saved? What about Simon? Maybe those three should be interviewing candidates. :)

LJ isn't gone. He entered a portal. Any kid can. Heck I can technically say Simon isn't gone yet. if he hears he has no chance to get paid to play maybe he could but I'm not holding my breath.

Cam left because of Matt. So Mullin or whoever he wasn't coming anyway.

I would assume the strategy will be some grad transfers to hold head above water. Not many grad transfers have committed yet.
