Good Luck, Shamorie...

This is likely the end of the Shamorie era. Let's try to send our guy off on a positive note. Tremendous scorer. Always positive. Good luck at the next level, wherever that may be.

It could not have been easy dealing with the pressure of NYC. Thanks for staying home.

He did play with intensity tonight. Did not see the passive play that he had been showing, of late.

Unfortunately he, like everybody else tonight, shot the ball very poorly.

Of course, he will be missed. Scorers like him don't grow on trees.

Good luck Shamorie wish we could have provided him with some size up front this year! Hope he gets drafted and can make it in NBA

His 3 pointer to sink Duke falling away off-balance at MSG is the greatest shot I've ever seen a SJ player make in person or on TV. Still have the ticket stub and plan on framing it with a cool picture. Thank you Shamorie...it takes balls to stay home and take the unconventional route in the NYC area these days. Loyal kid that wanted to rep his city. Best of luck at next level.

Enjoyed watching him play immensely. Had more jaw dropping plays than anyone I’ve rooted for before. He will end up just fine be it in the NBA or overseas.

I think he can be a great complementary bench piece of an established team like the Warriors as long as he becomes more consistent with his jumper. He also won't be the focal point of a defense anymore so that should help too.

In the end I feel bad that the horrible coaching staff we have didn't put him in a better position to succeed because I feel like a special player like him deserved better than to go out the way he did tonight. Good luck Shamorie all the best.

Good kid but to be realistic came back with one motive, to make himself more appealing to the nba scouts and it failed miserably. Good luck wherever you end up over seas. Thanks for staying in NYC and giving us a few great moments.

Welp, if you guys needed official confirmation you can just check out his Instagram live. He said “I can’t believe my last game we went out like that. We could’ve won that s***”( his words, not mine).

So there you go. Again I really hope the nets or Knicks draft him.

Per Zach
Shamorie Ponds says he doesn’t know what he will do next year. Asked if he could see himself coming back, said: “No comment.” #sjubn
Latest Instagram post hints at coming back. I doubt it but you never know
The Curry comparison photo? I don't think it really hints at anything. I'm going to assume he's gone.

Best of luck Shamorie, you were the best St. John's player I've ever seen play (been a fan/student since Lavin took over). A lot of fun to watch.

Good assumption

Shamorie gave us lots of thrills and some unbelievable games where he took over and just willed us to the win (Duke last year & VCU this year come to mind first but clearly there were many more). I wish him all the best and believe that, especially in today's NBA game, he has a shot to catch on with a team and have an NBA career. Will certainly root for him to do well wherever his career takes him.
