Georgia, Sun., Nov. 24, 11am, CBSSN

There has never been a worse display of loose ball awareness/hands/toughness/ability than we saw in the first half vs Georgia. There is no way that Daniss would have hurt us there.

Also a 100% chance he would be starting had he had another year here, regardless if Kadary and Smith were here as well. I mean Sim has started half the games as is and we know how much RP loved Jenkins. It would be the three guards and RJ, or smith comes off the bench.

Now Smith definitely wouldn’t have came with both Richmond and Jenkins IMO and I’m glad that we have Smith instead. At least, for the time being we have him.

Just my opinion , Since it’s immaterial time frame wise but , I think Pitino would never had pursued Richmond , if Jenkins had another year of Eligibility , Wilcher would be playing along side him in the back court .
Neither Smith or Richmond would be on the team . Scott would be and the money spent on Richmond and Smith could have brought in a true Power Forward .
Scott has been a quality addition .
Richmond and Smith ‘s playing styles are not complimentary . They both need the ball and that’s a problem .
Plus , how can our Million dollar man not be in top condition ? And , it may rankle more than a few here but , anyone not disappointed in Richmond so far , isn’t making a valid assessment .

I , hope I’m wrong and he performs like he’s going to lead us to the BE Finals and a NCAA Bid . We will see .

And , Wilcher’s development will be stalled if he’s not given a meaningful amount of Playing time . Pitino would then be back sliding from his commitment to him and his parents .
Not a good look , no matter how you slice it .

Last thing I'm concerned about is Wilcher's development and playing time. We've hard about his potential the last year and a half. For me, it's getting tiring. He's shown flashes of being a much better player, but it's just time for him to produce. If he doesn't, he shouldn't be playing.

I asked a question a few days ago that received no answers. I am not the only really old guy on this board who saw Oscar Robertson play. The question was "Is it easier to fix a hitch in a shooting stroke or make a completely new one?", as in Kadary learning a Big O type outside shot instead of unlearning the hitch in his existing shot and replacing it with something more reliable.
Dick Barnett.
