What a hand job, sitting a game changing PG, fumbling play aside today, is malfeasance. Smith best on ball defender on team imo & that is huge at crunch time.
Makes sense, Kadary reminds me of Ray Allen.

Exactly, would take the Marquette sample over what Rick’s doing any time. Developing young talented kids and getting them to stay yields consistency and builds a program. Unfortunately our staff didn’t bring in HS kids this year and the two soohs we have, Wilcher and Dunlap don’t look to be strong contributors in the near future. This is what free agent BB is going to be about. Players coming in to learn a new Coach , system , conditioning , etc ,
Our 3 point shooting was worse than CYO.
The million dollar man looks like we paid too much so far
This game exposed some fundamental weaknesses and reset going to be necessary . At some point . Prior to BE Season .
But , they’d us time to right the ship.
IMO, the poor shooting behind the arc was the difference in today's game. If we go 7-19; we win going away.Questionable rotation by Rick but he didn't go 2 - 19 from 3 or repeatedly bounce the ball off his foot.
The majority of the second half and some in the first.Did we press at all during game?
Balls, balls , balls said the Queen, if I had them I’d be King!!!IMO, the poor shooting behind the arc was the difference in today's game. If we go 7-19; we win going away.
A true SJ fan subscribes to the “sky is falling” philosophy. Not a banner day, but (even as a long-time poster) I'm surprised at the level of outrage here.
Perfectly predictable banana peel in our path today. Lose a close one, rebound with a bounce back win, then let down game is a standard script.
We're seven games in – too soon to make any judgement on chemistry or how we'll look in February. Just have to dust off and get back at it.
100%, on the money since first game of the season. They're regularly out of position for defensive caroms, too loose and cavalier with the basketball (no one has a strong handle), and too often (IMO) throws lazy/poor passes. Even if they don't totally clean it up; they need to minimize it.

I’m not disagreeing with you , but that’s BS, you play to win regardless.I don’t think Rick suddenly got senile.
Earlier in year he alluded to parents (Wilcher?) and obviously in NIL world have to play certain guys no matter what(Richmond).
Honestly last 2 years Pitino subs and rotations have been odd. I am sure above 2 issues play into that.
Clearly other issues at play regarding PT than it used to be.So you keep Kadary in for more shooting. If Smith was not hurting we have bigger problems on this team than an injured player.
We are already looking at another bubble year. The result will be the same as last year because the Big East has been weak out of conference already this season. So fed up with these winnable games turning into losses. The defensive rebounding on this team is a joke. Why in the world no PF was a transfer is beyond me and this reliance on transfers I will never understand. Fact Pitino signed no HS recruit for next season blows my mind.
As a fan and alum I am tired of these seasons of hope turning into nightmare. They better win out rest of non conf schedule or looking at another bubble year
