Man- do I just have that much of a Big East bias… but I think all our teams are “good/formidable”?… sucks they didn’t have a better OOC… Gtown got waxed by ND…
I think there's a sizable gap between the top seven and bottom four (Butler, DePaul, Seton Hall, Providence).

I dunno about sizable… I hear that word and think a team doesn’t stand a chance at winning… we just watched Butler take UConn to OT in Storrs and DePaul lose a game to Marq they should have won in Reg…

I think there is a gap to Butler and Providence, another gap to DePaul, and then a canyon sized gap (a bigger canyon then Evel Kneivel could handle) to Seton Hall.

If Butler played UConn 20 times (10 home, 10 away), how many times are they winning? 3?

And I'd say there's a gap between Butler and Georgetown/Villanova, and then Georgetown/Villanova to Xavier/Creighton.

Until I see otherwise once McNeely went down UCONN dropped a level. It should be interesting if he gets back if they can improve a lot.

The buzz is palpable:

People are calling me and asking to go to a game instead of me having to beg and ply them with food, drink and hookers.

My 91 year old mother reads every Newsday article about them, and there are many, and watched and texted me about the win. My middle son, who's not into it, watched the Ot with me and was into it.

Even my attendance has gone up. I've been to 4 already and it looks like I'll be at 8 before the BE tournament. I could get used to this winning thing!
The segue from line 2 to line 3 made me spit out my coffee.

Georgetown at Providence on Saturday. Have to settle watching this given SJU doesn’t play until next week. They gave us all we could handle at home but I think Rick will have a game plan to beat them again.

We really need Deivon back for this. I love him pulling up for a three when he gets space from the defense and of course when it gets kicked back to him and he can step into one. We need 4-5 attempts from him per game the rest of the way.

He also affords 4 of our starters rest since we are so interchangeable. That allows us to play relentless on the glass.

Our high energy, well conditioned players really wear down opponents in second half of games. Although, we can’t get away with digging first half holes all the time, it is clear most of our BE opponents have suffered from tired legs down the stretch while our guys maintain a torrid pace. (Especially defensively).

Smith, Zuby and Scott are incredible in that regard and Kadary has also improved his fitness level.
