Another heart breaker
We ran out of gas again
We almost ran out of players
Who would ever have thought that we would go a whole month without a win when the season started?

This is one of the hardest seasons to watch, I really thought we'd improve from last year.
Oh well, s* happens.

First guy to say, "We can still win the BE Tourney" has to sleep with Roseanne Barr in public view

I doubt their is even a moron here that would conjure that.

Comments that further inflame a disappointing Season , with many variables , don’t accomplish much . Except possibly to make the poster feel THEY are the ones to make decisions , they are not . Blaming Mullin , the other Bench Coaches , bad karma isn’t valid . The loss of the game occurred when , Ponds and Yakwe missed crucial foul shots that could have iced the game and then, Yakwe fouled the 3 pt shooter . How do you blame Mullin for that ? The player made a mistake , who knows why ? We have a flawed roster , all perimeter players . None with a inside game . G’Town has 2 inside studs in Govan and Derricksin . They torched us inside in crunch time . Plus 2 starters and our 6 th man , Trimble fouled out . Tough loss in the last 24 seconds .

This is Marvin Clark on Twitter. You have to love this kid......

You are sounding like all disgruntled fans . Mullin should have done this or that . The game was lost because the Players on the Court did not make those crucial free throws . Yakwe fouling Derrecksen in the act of shooting the 3 cost the game . Who knows why he made the mistake ? Bad basketball instincts , forgot the score or a whole host of things . How do you justify Ponds missing foul shots . Did Mullin cause that? Yakwe missed crucial foul shots too . Player mistakes , not Coaching failure . None of our players have any inside game . They are all perimeter players . You can’t win in the BE , without some inside scoring . Govan and Derrecksen showed that today as they torched us down the stretch . We had no one to match them . Maybe Matt A needs to do a better job , getting a solid 5 th year Player to be a factor in the paint . Maybe he should start scouting now and have a plan to get some help inside . Lovett ? Of course , his game is missed badly . Tough situation for the team .

Hopefully there are some great fire mullin posters and chants Tuesday night!

Hopefully you figure out what a reprehensible person you are and hang yourself. Just kidding, you're nowhere near self-aware to figure that out.

Culpability all around today. Not just Mullin and staff.

Missed FTs, 4 fouls on 3 pointers, poor fast breaks, no foul on last possession in first OT. Blame falls on everyone. Very frustrating to lose when up 5 with 24 seconds.

Mullin needs to have the kids face the video monitors when they are reviewing the tapes. They make the same mistakes over and over. Video coordinator should be working OT making a tape of repeated faux pas for each. These kids have not connected the dots yet and don’t seem to recognize the implications of their actions - reaching in with 4 fouls, laying off your man and not closing out with urgency, going for every ball and shot fake (how many times does Ahmed jump over a shooters head).

Frustration aside, will continue to support them and hope for some wins.

Traveled down to DC from NY with my wife last night for the game. One of the most excruciating losses I can remember. The season had so much hope. Frustrating as it is, I will be at every home game for the remainder of the year and continue to watch the road games on TV. Kids are playing awful hard and I’ll never stop loving the program. Tide will turn soon. It has to.

I agree with you that our guys have not connected the dots. It's possible that they are not good students of the game. It's also possible that the teachers are very poor communicators. I think it is a little bit of both. I know how much you all love Chris and we hope he "connects the dots" soon but his body language with him standing arms folded and communicating very little with the players during the game is a big problem for me. His cop out as to why and how we allowed a 3 point shot with 3 seconds left is a pure cop out. It is possible that Ewing has a better team in first year but he seems very engaged and is coaching all 40 minutes. I see a long career for him ar Georgetown.
Again it is easy to blame Shamorie for missing that crucial foul shot and blame Yakwe for that mindless foul but we were up 5 points with 24 seconds. Mullin should have gotten the attention of the players in that half a minute instead of looking like a dear in headlights with his arms folded.
Finally, enough with the Marcus LoVett would have made a difference excuses. If losing one player, a guard, in a 4 guard offense means going 0-18 then it must mean our players really suck. I don't think that is the case. Just as I don't think Amar Alibegovic parks himself on the 3 point line just because he feels like it. Same goes for Ahmed, Marvin, Owens. Very little inside game being developed or coached. Kassoum, a 4 star player out of high school, had a better freshman year as did Amar. Ahmed is having a wasted senior year. If, next year, Keita, a terrible outside shooter is taking 20 footers along with everyone else don't blame the players.

Shame there is a state law prohibiting Mullin from signing an inside player by year 3.

Cuomo's congestion pricing it feels like. It's almost like we will get fined if we have a big man down low. :)

Today's exasperating loss hurts, but we can't give up on the kids or the season--because they haven't. Despite the loss, despite an 0-8 BE start, it's obvious we have BE caliber talent and would've won a majority of these first 8 games, if LoVett hadn't gotten hurt.
I'm always a glass half-full guy--so I'll keep anticipating some success the remainder of this year--and look forward to next year.

The odds of us being 0-8 right now are incredibly, incredibly low.

Taking conservative odds on us LOSING the past 8 games based on the lines (which obviously factor in LoVett being out):

Vs Providence- 40% chance of losing (we were favored by about 6)
@ Seton Hall- 70% chance of losing
@ Creighton- 80% chance of losing
Vs DePaul- 40% chance of losing
Vs Georgetown- 45% chance of losing
Vs Villanova- 85% chance of losing
@ Xavier- 85% chance of losing
@ Georgetown- 55% chance of losing

So using basic math, you have to multiply the 8 together to get the odds of losing the past 8 games.

There is just a 1% chance of that happening. 1%.

Changes need to be made ASAP.

Why? We accomplished a great feat. We did something we only had a 1% chance of doing. I predict more great things ahead.

That’s why I said culpability all around. Mullin hasn’t done a good job. And, while I see the value in his promote confidence approach, I do think he needs to show some toughness. That said, some of the repeated mistakes are things kids should already know before entering college.
