Georgetown (MSG), Tue., Jan. 14 , 7:30p, PEACOCK

Scott missed a lot of chippies inside.
Scott's value to our team has very little to do with scoring. Not only is he a super one on one defender he makes so many hustle plays on both ends and had 9 rebounds. Yes he missed three shots inside but but was 4-7 from three. He is the best defender we have had since DPOY Justin Simon.

What a great comeback for the win! Defense was great in the second half only giving up 21! Turned them over 19 times! Shot the 3 at 33%!

Sim with a big 3 and back tap steal!

Scott seemed to get every big rebound and hit some big 3s as well!

Kadary played his best game of the year!

RJ, our closer missed the free throws and then wipes away any worries with the big block!

These kids play hard! LET'S GO!

Ther cherry on top, watching RJ get interviewed on the court and between him and the interviewer who is in the stands...our very own Dave!

My thoughts:

1) great win! Smith is very important to our team and to gut this one out after coming out flat was HUGE. We avoid a home loss on our resume. We hold serve. Survive and advance.

2) Kadary isn’t quite in shape but man he dug deep in this one. Incredible performance. He got back doored on the first play of the second half and I thought it was a sign we were about to get beat. But nope. He flipped the script by hitting some timely shots and getting some important steals and a nice block as well. His drive and dish game was humming along tonight.

3) i think it is time to take the training wheels off of Prey. He is talented, can hang in defensively against multiple positions, and fights hard for rebounds. That matches the identity of this team.

4) I thought Cooley was dreadful tonight. Curtis Williams Jr killed us in the first half and as Georgetown was mid meltdown he did nothing to get him involved. He kept trying the same things over and over. Weird, useless timeouts too.

Good summary.

I'm not too concerned about the bigs - I think we will get what we need from Zuby, Vince and Prey.

We need RJ to have another productive points/rebounds game, and we need Kadary, Wilcher and Scott to all be more efficient offensively than they've been.

Spot some minutes for Glover and Marillac's hero Ayo.

Gonna count this as a W

Great post. Today was the first game I saw Kadary hit the floor for a lose ball. Made me happy.

Kadary was MVP tonight for sure. Scott 2nd.

More solid minutes from Prey. Hard to see how Rick can justify any real minutes for Vince going forward
I’m going with Luis had big basket and stop at the end. Was high scorer again. Scott and Richmond tied for second.
