The difference is they are out rebounding us, they have shooters, and have guys who can beat you off the dribble. We have no one who can really penetrate, Kadary perhaps. Luis tries, but many times he tries to euro step thru two guys.

We have no consistency. Up one game, crap the next. Obviously this is a poor shooting team. We will need to work harder in the 2nd half. “Only” down 10 but unless we do some dirty work (rebounding, hustle, defense) we are going to lose. This is not the type of team to shoot its way back in.

I sure hope Rick has his Vince Lombardi speech ready. That effort was no bueno.

Continue to shuttle in bodies and press after every made basket, and hope to speed up the Hoyas into mistakes (ie, turnovers and rushed shots) and tire them out.

We are by no means out of this game. But toughness and rebounding need to improve big time this half. Need Zuby to wake up. We'll know within first five minutes how second half will go.

I knew this game would be tough w/o Deivon. Make no mistake - he is our leader and we miss him big time

This is not just because of Smith. They came out with no energy. No energy rebounding the ball the way they did against Xavier and Villanova, no energy defensively and they had a 9 minute scoring drought and Georgetown had 10 turnovers that half. Imagine that!! There’s no excuse for the way they came out. Please , no more talk about how we’re an NCAA tournament team, no more talk about us being ranked, no more talk about us being top 3 in this conference on the same level as Marquette and UConn etc. Even if we somehow manage to come back and win this game, this is a flawed team. Something is not right when you can’t even come out and play with energy. Win or lose fine, but the energy and determination has to be there regardless and I don’t see any of it tonight at all. This is not the first time this season either. If you want to be elite the effort , energy and determination has to be there regardless but it’s not always there with this team.

Playing like a team that left it all on the floor Saturday and had too quick a turnaround to an athletic and talented Hoya team. Was worried about this coming in, but didn't expect it to be this bad. Down 10 which could have been a lot worse. They will have to summon it from down deep. Not hopeless, but will require a perfect half.
