Their style of play has always been tough for us. Need to improve ball screen defense & communication.

Dlo should go into the Georgetown game with the mindset that Jakarr had in the Creighton game. Focus on defense. He and Rysheed have to lock down DSR and Trawick. Worry less about having to provide offense and maybe there will be less pressure. Let the points come from inside and whatever you can get by going to the hole but don't try to do too much from 3.
I have a feeling Jakarr and CO are gonna have big games. I do see a low scoring game in the 60's.

We should be in there with a win...then again, outside of creighton we still don't have another marquee win.
Just get to 20 wins before the big east tournament...19 at worse.

just bought two additional tickets. Looks like the travel zoo lower bowl special is sold out. Maybe a pretty good crowd

One thing many posters here have in common with G'Town posters....their dislike of Lavin. Reading some of their comments made think I was on Redmen.com. Its funny how they make fun of Lavin as a coach considering JTIII is on one of the most embarrassing streaks ever when it comes to NCAA early exists. Can anyone say Ohio or Dunk City 
Well, if these kids want to get to the NCAA, then they have no choice but to win. I don`t think they like being owned by Georgetown either.
So it`s time to push back at Georgetown. Gotta let them know that we`re bringing our best on Sunday night so they better bring there`s.

Exactly. If we are gonna make the tournament we have to beat top 25 teams, (Creighton, maybe Nova) but we also have to beat other bubble teams, especially on our home court (GTOWN, Xavier) hope we get it done tomorrow

2008 = # 2 seed, lost second round to # 10 davidson
2010 = # 3 seed lost first round to # 14 Ohio (not Ohio State)
2011 = #6 seed lost first game to # 11 VCU
2012 = #3 seed lost second game to # 11 NC State
2013 = #2 seed lost first game to # 15 Florida Gulf Coast

There are dozens of ways to slice up a 5-1 finish in conference and an NCAA bid, but one way is that you cannot get swept by more than one conference team, if at that. This is one team we cannot get swept by if you want an NCAA bid. Man, I love this home and home format. It's as fair as can possibly be.

This will be our most difficult game IMHO. First of all we do not play well against G'town, also they are as hot as we are.
We need to get around their picks and not lose Starks or Smith - Rivera. Both are very good 3 point shooters. Hopefully, coach Lavin is practicing against the back door offense, otherwise we get hurt even by the likes of a non scorer such as Lubick.
Concentrate on Starks and Rivera with Jordan and Harrison harassing them.
CO should take care of Hopkins.
We know they are going to be over confident so let's blow these hated Hoyas out of Madison Square Garden.

I would expect our guys looked at replays of their loss at G'town. Got to get around their picks. I would really like to see Obekpa slam the ball down that surly face of Starks.

They usually play a tight man defense, however with our poor shooting record who knows? To be honest with you, if I was coaching against us I would play zone without any hesitation.
