Game Thread -- SJU vs. Charleston

everyone in the starting five with at least eight points going into the final four minutes. Bench has six points -- Obekpa 4, Dom 2.
 
64-53 SJU wins

Harrison scores 21. Garrett with 11, Greene 10. Sampson with 8 and 10 reb. Jones with eight and five reb. No blocks for Obekpa.
 
Nice win but they only look average on the offensive end. The major plus down there was lowering the TO numbers from the Detroit game. Still early with hopefully more weapons coming plus growth and improvement from the 3 key frosh on that end.

On Defense I saw the holes folks were talking about but I also saw how the teams length, quickness and athleticism makes that match up a beast. They'll need to get better with it as they go up in weight class but lots of quick hands and steals and turnovers forced, even if the block totals went down, and quick back to the ball which was part of why I think CoC shot so poorly.

DON'T like getting out rebounded by a team of this caliber for any reason. It's a win and by more than I expected but it wasn't a work of art, then again what November games ever are.

AGREE we shot 2 for 10 at the 3 pt range If we were shooting better would have won by 20+

Imagine how better or good we can be once we're able to get our full compliment. Scary.

By the way, that guy on the Samford/Louisville game sounds like "Squiggy" from 'Laverne & Shirley.'

What number were you on the court? Those are the guys who get the credit.
