And GOT scotch. Had the lagavulin Lannister on Saturday. It was pretty good.

You guys should really try the Dornish wine. It's known to be the best in the seven kingdoms.

I'm curious what kind of things you are picking up on 2nd time around? Ive heard a lot of people say this. I just finished my first watch of the whole show, and it has me wondering, what did I miss?
I did a full rewatch before season 7. Two big things I picked up:

1) Ned being completely against Robert finding and killing Daenerys makes much more sense since he’s self interested with Jon also being a Targaryen.

2) Mance rayder refusing to bend the knee to stannis and Jon trying to convince him to do so convinced me that Jon would bend the knee to Dany in season 7 (which he did and tormund even referred to mance causing death to many wildlings due to his pride when they went beyond the wall)

GOT loves foreshadowing so I’ve been trying to figure things out with that in mind as I rewatch season 7 and a few other select episodes.

I am convinced if Jon is still alive after the Great War he is going to take the black again and man the wall slash oversee the rebuilding of the wall assuming the white walkers retreat and aren’t completely vanquished. This would be to allow either Dany or even Sansa (or maybe someone’s else) to rule. The foreshadowing? Aemon Targaryen telling Sam how he was supposed to be king but took the black to peacefully deal with a potential conflict of rulers in favor of his brother who he felt would be better (or something along those lines).

Can’t wait for Sunday.
Was thinking that Jon and Dany have a child (Rightful heir), Arya become hand of the new king/queen, Sansa kills Cersei, Mountain kills the Hound, Arya or Brienne kills the mountain.

Battles will be 3 and 5 likely. Those eps are directed by Miguel Sapochnick who is the 'battle guy'

Good to know. Sapochnik has done an amazing job with the battles he has done (both hardhome and battle of bastards, I believe).

If you want to watch every episode of Game of Thrones back-to-back leading up to the Sunday night premiere, you must start at 5:30am on Friday.

Just finished watching the entire series. Wow! I'm ready, I just hope it doesn't end with Ned Stark coming out of the shower with Catelyn telling him about her wild dream.

If the next scene is Ned ripping off his own face to reveal littlefinger and then doing something diabolical I may be able to get behind it....

Can’t wait. Definitely going to rewatch a few more episodes this weekend.

Moose, picking up on your comment in the hurley thread (without further reviving a thread that sounds deservedly dead), I assume you have read the littlefinger is Alive theory. For anyone who hasn’t see below. I doubt it happens but sounds plausible to me. I think it has as good or better a chance as any of the more complicated theories at being true.

I was lukewarm on the first half of it but as soon as Samwell Tarly showed up on screen the episode became incredible. He owned every second he was on screen

Also, the way they are handling this conflict with Jon Snow vs Winterfell is masterful.

They sell you on him and Dany’s Love with that lovey dovey dragon ride and then the rest of the episode Jon gets into conversations with Sansa and especially Sam that are beginning to push him towards wanting the throne over Dany.

My guess as of now. They defeat the white walkers behind the leadership of Jon Snow and everyone is in agreement that he should be on the throne. This creates conflict obviously as Dany will never concede the throne to anyone. While they squabble amongst themselves Cersei makes a move to take them all out

Solid ep.
Can't ask for more than 1st ep of a season. It's teeing things up but still managed to give us a few big moments.

The awesome new intro
Arya and Jon reuniting
Jon riding the Dragon
Sam telling Jon
Cersei being a whore
Tormund with a one liner
The Umber boy in the Targaryian symbol
Jaime seeing Bran

Not going to be on a list of best episodes ever but was really good in getting us back into game of thrones world and setting up the various storylines moving everything along a bit.

Would have liked them to stay with Sam and Jon snow more and dealt with more realization from Jon but that will likely come as the season goes on.

Could bronn actually kill either Lannister brother? Or will he finally take Tyrion up on his promise that whatever anyone is paying him, Tyrion will pay double?

Think next episode will not be a lot of action (maybe the end) but more direct conflict than this episode.

Honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more for episode 1 based on where we left off and where they need to go.

Also how can I forget the Dragon looking at Jon being like "Dude that's your aunt" :woohoo:

Really good episode that moved along quickly. What kind of weapon was Arya having made by Gendry?

Looked like a spear to me - perhaps to kill Viserion?
