All the talk here has got me to rewatch this series. I'm up to season 3. Surprised how much got by me on the first viewing.
I'm curious what kind of things you are picking up on 2nd time around? Ive heard a lot of people say this. I just finished my first watch of the whole show, and it has me wondering, what did I miss?
I did a full rewatch before season 7. Two big things I picked up:
1) Ned being completely against Robert finding and killing Daenerys makes much more sense since he’s self interested with Jon also being a Targaryen.
2) Mance rayder refusing to bend the knee to stannis and Jon trying to convince him to do so convinced me that Jon would bend the knee to Dany in season 7 (which he did and tormund even referred to mance causing death to many wildlings due to his pride when they went beyond the wall)
GOT loves foreshadowing so I’ve been trying to figure things out with that in mind as I rewatch season 7 and a few other select episodes.
I am convinced if Jon is still alive after the Great War he is going to take the black again and man the wall slash oversee the rebuilding of the wall assuming the white walkers retreat and aren’t completely vanquished. This would be to allow either Dany or even Sansa (or maybe someone’s else) to rule. The foreshadowing? Aemon Targaryen telling Sam how he was supposed to be king but took the black to peacefully deal with a potential conflict of rulers in favor of his brother who he felt would be better (or something along those lines).
Can’t wait for Sunday.
Was thinking that Jon and Dany have a child (Rightful heir), Arya become hand of the new king/queen, Sansa kills Cersei, Mountain kills the Hound, Arya or Brienne kills the mountain.
