Game of Thrones

episodes 3-6 are all around an hour and 20 minutes roughly. Episode 3 is the longest at 1:22, This is my guess for the big battle

I’ve heard episode 3 is going to be the “Battle of Winterfell”. Assuming the undead are gonna clash with everyone here.

All the talk here has got me to rewatch this series. I'm up to season 3. Surprised how much got by me on the first viewing.

I'm curious what kind of things you are picking up on 2nd time around? Ive heard a lot of people say this. I just finished my first watch of the whole show, and it has me wondering, what did I miss?

Remember in season 1 when Arya is lost running around the bowels of Kings Landing. And she hides while Varys and another guy are talking. Do you know the other guy ? Took me subsequent showings to see who it was

Illyrio Mopatis Magister of Pentos and a supporter of House Targaryen.

Sorry, a little late joining this thread, but I can totally empathize with binge watching the show to catch up with everyone. I did it last year —

I was so freaked-out by the red-wedding episode that I woke my wife around midnight the night that I watched it — I told her that I just needed a few minutes to talk things out. She thought I was even crazier than she believed previously.

Tommen was a different character in the season prior to his 'debut'. The original character was bumped and they brought in the Tommen who jumped. Problem was in the season prior he was a Martyn Lannister who was imprisoned by Rob and the Stark army and then Tully went into the cell to kill him as revenge for his son dying. Then Rob killed Tully.

Just a fun fact you don't see the first time around really.

Rob killed the head of the Karstarks, not Edmure Tully....beginning on the end for him....well i guess his end started when Catelyn freed Jamie....pissed that the show did reprise her as Stoneheart from the books (GOT Nerd- sorry)

My bad on the name there.

I convinced my roommate to start watching Thrones. Even lended him my hbogo sign in so he wouldn’t have an excuse.

He’s on season 3 now, he was watching some of the episodes in the room so I was watching them too for the second time.

One interesting conversation that took place that I now realize might have a bit of foreshadowing for the ending.

Catelyn Stark was talking to Robb’s wife Talisa. Obviously it was pre red wedding. Talisa got the sense Catelyn didn’t like her (for good reason in the end lol) so she went over to talk to her.

Catelyn ended up telling the story of how one the boys almost died with the pox when they were younger. She stayed up all night with him, the doctors said if he survived the night he would make it out alive, but it would be a very “LONG NIGHT”. Catelyn then revealed the boy was Jon Snow.

Hmm. Jon Snow survived that long night. He may survive another

I did a full rewatch before season 7. Two big things I picked up:

1) Ned being completely against Robert finding and killing Daenerys makes much more sense since he’s self interested with Jon also being a Targaryen.

2) Mance rayder refusing to bend the knee to stannis and Jon trying to convince him to do so convinced me that Jon would bend the knee to Dany in season 7 (which he did and tormund even referred to mance causing death to many wildlings due to his pride when they went beyond the wall)

GOT loves foreshadowing so I’ve been trying to figure things out with that in mind as I rewatch season 7 and a few other select episodes.

I am convinced if Jon is still alive after the Great War he is going to take the black again and man the wall slash oversee the rebuilding of the wall assuming the white walkers retreat and aren’t completely vanquished. This would be to allow either Dany or even Sansa (or maybe someone’s else) to rule. The foreshadowing? Aemon Targaryen telling Sam how he was supposed to be king but took the black to peacefully deal with a potential conflict of rulers in favor of his brother who he felt would be better (or something along those lines).

Can’t wait for Sunday.
