Game of Coaches

This is a serious question, is Mark Jackson that bad of an idea?
Yes! He has never coached at the college level. Been there done that.
Yeah, he coached at the pro level.
You’re telling me Jackson has no idea of the landscape of recruiting around here? None?

We’re gettting turned down by the likes of a guy named Porter Moses. Some of you need to get your damn head out of the sand and stop pretending we’re a successful program. It’s laughable actually.

Sources believe St. John's will expand search beyond the names known at the moment. #sjubb

Rhoades, Odom, Cluess. Maybe sju has heard the first two aren’t interested. Seems definite that we’re arent interested in cluess. Either way, stay out of Craggs way and let him sink or swim with HIS decision.

I completely agree with this. There are people around here that still thinking it's the "we are St. John's" of the 80s and 90s. Are you kidding me? This program has turned into a laughing stock. It's a shame.

We had Hurley turn us down for ASU. The guy coached at BUFFALO for gosh sakes. BUFFALO !! When i was at SJU that was a tune up game.
This ain't your momma's Johnnies any more. Heck at this point I settle for Dickie V to coach us.

Timing is now problematic. On top of us being absent from the live recruiting period, LJ could now go ahead with those visits. :(

And I believe Heron only has until Sunday 4/21 to declare for NBA draft.

Could picture a kid using this mess to rationalize a bad decision.

On the long list of low points over the past 30+ years, the past few days are earning a special place.

I've never accepted the notion that St. John's no longer belongs in the discussion of high major programs. I still think an ambitious guy should leap at the chance to stand in the spotlight at MSG and make a name for himself.

When we're getting rejected by semi-successful coaches at mid-major programs, I guess I have to swallow hard and allow that the world has changed.

Best news yet that Moser rejects offer from that idiot Cragg. Now will someone call Pitino PLEASEEEEEEE

Meanwhile, he'll never say it publicly, but Cragg has to be wondering if he, himself, made a mistake accepting the St. John's job.

If the exodus of players continues, whoever becomes coach is likely facing a 25+ loss season. Looks like Cluess -- who was shabbily treated regardless of what most fans think of him -- is having the last laugh.

I don’t have any insight on the situation outside of whats on here. From my perspective it would seem Cragg could hold all the cards if he chose. Imagine what the school would look like after getting turned down twice and having their new AD walk away during the process. Make your decision or walk.
