Franklin Pierce

wow.
I won't go off topic more than to note, I think you might read a bio of Robert E Lee.
America has produced few men with his leadership traits and character. He might have fought on the "wrong" side after turning down Lincoln's offer to be Commander of the Union Army, but even his fiercest opponents had enormous respect for him -before, during, and after the War. Pierce had, well, not so much. Unless, they have Lee's great, great grandson coaching them, we get an easy win.

Going off-topic, but ... your references to the Civil War brought something to mind: Whatever became of the poster who went by the name Sheridan, Sherman & Grant (or something similar)? He posted regularly and was without question one the most polite posters on the board.

I seem to remember him having posted something a while back about an illness. I sure hope he's OK and just took some time off from posting. He was always a gentleman.

I just spoke to him this weekend and he is having trouble signing on to the site. He asked me to get in touch with the administrator and see what they could do. I left a PM for one of the moderators but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks
BTW he is fine and healthy. There were some personal issues but he is looking forward to getting back on the site.

Thanks for update. That's great news on what has been a horrendous day. My son called from college(Albany) to tell me a that a friend of his died today while pledging a frat. NYC kid. 19 years old. I didn't know the boy although coincidentally he attended my high school. So sad and so unavoidable. Alcoholic poisoning it seems. Really puts things in perspective, Just hope it serves as lesson to others.

@StJohnsBBall: Franklin Pierce will be playing its third game in as many days tonight after picking up wins over LIU Post and NYIT this weekend.

Based on this tweet who do you think looks more energetic so far? Well it's not St Johns

25-17 Franklin Pierce leads

When a D2 team breaks through your press so easily, yikes, not a good sign.

UPDATE: Harrison hits 3 it's 25-21. Franklin Pierce timeout.

We are down 13-8 right now. Greene just got taken off the dribble two possessions in a row.
'

I honestly think these guys are as good as Greene is.

I missed first few minutes. Jordan looks smooth out there tonight

2nd game in a row greenes shot looks bad. And I hate to say it cause I like Phil but if his shots aren't going down, there isn't much reason to have him in there.

And as I say that Greene takes it in strong for the and one. 27-26 now we are still down. 8 mins left

There goes phil with one of the stronger finishes Ive seen him make. Nice move

Nope. Said the same thing. Gotta find more minutes for some guys who make plays.

Jones with 4 points in another 2 minutes. His man did hit an open three but Jones had helped to stop a drive. Gotta help the helper.

You have got to put d'angelo on him. He is your best bet Lavin.

Down 8 late in 1st half. If we lose this game to a DII program I will turn my back on this school for a full year or until Lavin gets fired. This is what I'd call the straw breaking the camel's back

This place is going to EXPLODE if we lose this game.

Man, it would suck for the season to be over after the second game. :(
