wow.
I won't go off topic more than to note, I think you might read a bio of Robert E Lee.
America has produced few men with his leadership traits and character. He might have fought on the "wrong" side after turning down Lincoln's offer to be Commander of the Union Army, but even his fiercest opponents had enormous respect for him -before, during, and after the War. Pierce had, well, not so much. Unless, they have Lee's great, great grandson coaching them, we get an easy win.
Going off-topic, but ... your references to the Civil War brought something to mind: Whatever became of the poster who went by the name Sheridan, Sherman & Grant (or something similar)? He posted regularly and was without question one the most polite posters on the board.
I seem to remember him having posted something a while back about an illness. I sure hope he's OK and just took some time off from posting. He was always a gentleman.
I just spoke to him this weekend and he is having trouble signing on to the site. He asked me to get in touch with the administrator and see what they could do. I left a PM for one of the moderators but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks
BTW he is fine and healthy. There were some personal issues but he is looking forward to getting back on the site.
