Mike, from my drive home last night....

I don't think he was hard enough on SJU. Not even the biggest homer could disagree with anything he said.
I'm embarrassed that Francesa is a graduate of St. John's.
His latest:

I don’t have any inside information, I did when Fr Harrington was president, but he is gone, so not any more.
I don’t know what is going on there. I hear they want to extend Lavin.
Lavin has not delivered. He has had his own recruits. most of them don’t make it in. He has promised the NCAAs and except for the first class, with the old guy’s kids, he hasn’t gotten there.
He is a good recruiter but hasn’t delivered. His grade is a fail not a pass.
FF was a great fit. Local guy, all the HS coaches in NYC loved him, but he had issues, not on the court off the court growth things, he did stupid things, he would have, and could have been great there, but he messed up."

My memory is going, someone help me here.

When they h/fired Jarvis, Francesa was involved.
When they hired Norm, Francesa was barely involved.
When they hired Steve Lavin, Francesa was not at all involved.
What is Francesa’s relationship with Mike Repole, if any? You would think it would be good ---they are both, boot strap guys, who didn’t grow up with a lot and both became very successful despite that fact, --they have a lot of other things in common too--- horses, friends in high places, Italian-Americans, Queens/LI guys..., family men......... just wondering??

Mike R. has been at several games this year, both CA nad MSG.
I saw him in both The R&W Club at SJU, as well as The Delta Club at The Garden
In fact, I distinctly remember him sitting courtside next to Peter D'Angelo, Chairman of The Board of Trustees at the Seton Hall game at CA.

And I notice that he (Francesa) doesn't mention the reason that The University finds him persona non grata is becuase he stiffed them re the scholarship he promised.
Bruce Beck, not Francesa, is the "go to guy/MC" that the University goes to for all its big eventssuch as The President's Dinner.
FH made the decision re NR. In fact some on the committee didn't even know about it until it was publicly announced. They we totally blindsided. Francesa had zero influence. Trust me.
