Florida Hires New A.D. in 3 Months

No Hathaway for $JU it appears. Take up a collection Bobby G. :)

AND the basketball, soccer and baseball coaches keep serving as their own A.D.'s.
Did you see the short version of the "national search"?:

Athletic director position available at tradition bound Big East school.  This unique position reports to executive assistant to the chief of staff of the Director of intramural sports.  Major responsibility is scheduling lacrosse, golf and softball team schedules.  May attend Big East A.D. meetings and conferences when deemed necessary by the coaches.  Fund raising experience desired but not necessary as that function is split between four different staff members; salary commensurate with duties assigned.  Must bring your own supplies and lunch.

Wonder if Hathaway spoke to KB about what it's like to work at SJU?

I heard the AD at Sacred Heart HS would take the job for $75K and will teach English too.

Two finalists for the St. John's AD job: Hartford AD Anton Goff and Wisconsin-GB AD Mary Ellen Gillespie, per source.

Anton Goff would be an excellent choice.

Sense you may be happy then. :)

His resume is impressive. Has worked his way up to AD at Hartford but seems destined for a bigger stage. Seems to have real passion for success. He may actually be able to work with Chris Mullin! ;)

Not sure Mullin will report to AD. Maybe Oliva keeps that responsibity?

Goff spent a lot of time as you know at Maryland, cradle of Under Armour. Well, I am getting ahead of myself as usual, let's see what transpires. :)

Rutgers got their coach from the America East conference, we are just getting an AD.

"Not sure Mullin will report to AD. Maybe Oliva keeps that responsibity?"

Likely the reason it's taking so long to hire an AD. There's always a fly in the ointment when trying to cure things at St. John's! Very few professional athletic directors would accept the position without responsibility over a school's signature program.

Maybe if they changed the job title to " every sport other than basketball director ? then potential job applicants wouldn't feel like they would be getting their balls chopped off if they took the job

Is Mullin really that hard to work with? As long as your name isn't Slice, he seems like he'd be a pretty mellow employee. . .
