Love this quote in the Zags article about Felix. Any chance this kid has Lavor Postell type upside? I know Lavor is listed a couple inches taller than felix.

Asked what his upside was, Konchalski said: “I think eventually he can be very good. A year ago he was a low-major player. Two months ago, he was a mid-major player. Right now, he might be a high-major player.”

Lavor and Felix are both about 6'4". Not much difference size-wise. Certainly can see similarities. Having seen his latest games, the kid is getting better really, really fast. He has sooo much raw talent there. His midrange game is pretty awesome considering that the midrange is usually the most difficult to coax out of players.

When I first saw him, I thought he might be a horrible shooter because I never saw him take a shot. Now it seems he's getting more comfortable shooting the ball and his form is generally pretty good. He has great instincts and quickness on defense too. The problem is that nobody has taught him how to play good defense yet. Balamou is one of those kids who, if he has the work ethic, will get a TON better with our staff.

It looks to me like he hasn't really formed any bad habits except soft defense. His jumper still changes so I think that is another thing the staff can help hone and get him to become more consistent. All I know is that if you watch his games, he is night and day better than he was a few months ago and it is obvious. He's getting better quickly and I think we got a real steal. If he had another HS season and a good coach, he'd easily be in the top 100.

Glad we grabbed this kid. He's one of those kids that the staff probably came across by accident and they saw his upside. I don't think the staff would have signed this kid just to get Obekpa. Obekpa is good but not a top 10 kid. A pleasant surprise and if he has the right attitude can be valuable from day 1.

I agree with most of what you said MCN, but dont think Felix is close to 6'4. Id give him 6'2 tops

I was just thinking both athletic. Lavor wasn't a good shooter but developed up to a 40% 3pt stroke by his junior year. Any way, sounds like Felix is a sleeper that is just scratching his surface. Can't wait to see Rico work with he and Woods.

I'm 6'2" and i dont think I'm as tall as Balamou. He was a shade shorter than Quenton Decosey who is legit 6'5". I think Balamou has got to be around 6'3"-6'4" not that it really matters.

Latest video on Balamou.... Check out the guy in the backwards cap around the :46 second mark. You can tell what he said by reading his lips.

Wait not so fast...NCAA currently investigating Felix's classification and eligibility. They say we might hear back in a few years.

He is not a top 10 on offense but he is going to be 1 or 2 in the country on blocks and that equates to wins

was at game today and don't recall seeing on the warm-up line...Not sure that he was activated...

Love this kid. What a find for Lav. We have Oblockpa, now his smaller minion, Felix Blockamou. Great kid all around...by the way I have seen lots of replays of his back to back blocks and both looked like goaltending. I'll take the blocks, but anyone else see the goaltending? I thought the rule is that if the ball is at its apex and you touch it, it's goaltending.

At its apex good block has to be coming down to be goaltending. Both of Felix's were close-I couldn't be sure either way.
