Felix Balamou

 I don't dislike Balamou. He plays really hard and is a sick athlete. I just never see him shoot so don't know if he can. We need lots of bodies so I'm not averse to taking him. We can use him to run, press and trap.

Strickly adds depth but not a backup to Branch.....maybe Greene in a couple of years. Just a caveat with Obekpa, GG has a more developed offensive game and no one should pencil him as a starter should he sign if we sign Sanchez and Sampson. Don't be surprised to see a three forward offense that can run and score as opposed to a center that provides only rebounding. Just my opinion but Obekpa is a couple of years away from being a post presence.

 I hope we get Obekpa. I also see him starting over Gift. If a 6 6 Pointer starts at pf ,I cant see a 6 8 shot blocker not. We need rebounding. provides 2nd chance points and initiates the fast break.

It does beg the question. Do they like his game or is this just a move to get big Chris? Balamou does fit the Lavin mold though.

at this point it's another D1 talent whether Chris comes or not....hopefully more cards start falling into place..I liken Felix to Phil Greene...Not a top recruit, but will play hard leave it all out on the court, and with tutelage from this staff will perform beyond anyone's expectations

He takes a ton of shots in the game on YouTube. He looks for it aggressively as well and his teammates defer to him as a primary scoring option. I don't think he's a pure shooter, but he will be a definite threat from deep.

He has all the makings of a defensive stopper and athletic menace.

Hopefully this leads to Obekpa and other recruits.. Just signing a guy whos not even ranked or has a star next to his name isnt gonna get me too excited..

 Athletic, defensive stopper, someone who can shake things up for 6 minutes in a half. Maybe a 4 year player who will thrive here.

This kid has more athletic ability in his finger than Tristan Smith did in his entire body.
Balamou is good enough to be a recruit independent of Obekpa. Lav does not strike me as the bogo deal type, especially for a player that isn't even even in the top 50.

Good pickup, just like Wood was.
