From January on Daniss was one of the best players in the BE. He shot 39% from 3 in BE play. He averaged 20 and 7 for the year. Last year's team would have been better if you swapped out Daniss for Smith. And '23-'24 squad would have been better off with DJ than Kadary, and that's no knock on Kadary. Kadary was a good point forward, but that team would have had no primary ball handler. Also factor the delta in 3pt shooting. I'll give the nod to the guy playing in the NBA.The sides are: (1) Jenkins played hero ball and it hurt the team and (2) Jenkins played hero ball because he had to
That was the argument. I think that team would have been very good if you switched Jenkins and Kadary. Kadary had this rare ability to let others do their own thing and make people around him better. Nobody was comfortable doing their own thing with Jenkins in the game except Soriano in the first half of the season. RJ was the only one who challenged him. The way he dominated the dribbling is what specifically bothered me. If he got off the ball more and took more shots and drives within the rhythm of the game he would have been one of my favorite players. Instead, EVERTYHING was on his terms. Kadary was the exact opposite. He let you do your thing and helped you do your thing. Jenkins made you do what he wanted...even with his assists.
