EPL 2015-16

Apparently benzema to arsenal is a done deal

Benzema's agent is denying that he's headed to Arsenal and he will stay at Madrid. There is a rumor that Cavani is in London for a medical. Last week the transfer window is open. The rumors will be flying around. Should be fun.

Yeah some are down right ridiculous like the Neymar "secretly" heading to Man U rumor.

Stalemate at the Emirates. Will fast forward through the DVR tonight - we need to win these home games.

Liverpool looked good, mainly in the first half.
Coutinho was a handful.
Best player on the pitch.

That was one of the more exciting 0-0 encounters you will see. Both teams hit the woodwork, both goalies were terrific, especially Cech. Liverpool better in the first, Arsenal on top in the second. Ramsey had a legitimate goal disallowed for offside. Each team denied possible penalties.

Mert and Kos did not play and while Chambers was very suspect in the first 45, he improved in the second and Gabriel looked decent throughout. Sanchez worked his socks off but missed a couple of good chances. Coquelin, Ozil and Ramsey played well but Cazorla and Giroud were too quiet. Both fullbacks were solid. Give Liverpool credit, they are a much improved team this year. Agree with TIS, Couthino is the dangerman and Bentenke was not easy to defend against.

Up next, Newcastle.

Wonder what transfer nonsense will be bandied about today? Messi, Maradona, Eusebio?? :)

I was wondering about Chambers the other night when playing FIFA. He came out last year like a house on fire then was never to be seen again. And same for the start of this year

Cavani to Arsenal is today's rumor. Could happen. PSG have been trying to unload him and Arsenal is desperate for a striker. If Wenger will open up his wallet is another issue. He might be cheaper than the Met owners.

Hope that Brugge can knockout United tomorrow. That stoppage time goal last week by Fellaini was huge for United.

Looks like United advance to Champions League group stage.

By the way 3rd round of the Capital One Cup was announced. Tough match up Arsenal vs Spurs. Someone is leaving the competition early. Maybe United can go a little further this year.

" De Bruyne is expected to be offered wages worth around £250,000 a week"

I really, really should have practiced more and tried to use my left foot for something other than standing on. Good Lord, the numbers are just cray-cray...

CL draw on right now. Chelsea get Porto and United dodge a bullet getting PSV.

Hahahaha Arsenal with bayern and Man City with Juventus. PSG and Madrid will be a great group.

Group of death Group D? No complaints with Chelsea's draw.

Group A: Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Malmo

Group B: PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, CSKA Moscow, Wolfsburg

Group C: Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray, Astana

Group D: Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla, Borussia Monchengladbach

Group E: Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, Roma, BATE Borisov

Group F: Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Olympiacos, DNK Dinamo

Group G: Chelsea, Porto, Dynamo Kiev, Maccabi Tel Aviv

Group H: Zenit Saint Petersburg, Valencia, Lyon, Gent

This weekend:

Magpies - Gunners Away Win
Villains - Black Cats Home Win
[strike]Poppies[/strike] Cherries - Foxes Draw
Blues - Eagles Home Win
Reds - Hammers Home Win
Citizens - Hornets Home Win (like 5-0)
Potters - Baggies Home Win
Spurs - Toffees Draw
Saints - Canaries Home Win
Swans - Los Diablos Rojos Draw

Bournemouth are the cherries not the poppies. Also I think Watford will put up a better fight than that. they wont win, but they will put up a fight.

all the drama surrounding my Toffees these days, I'd be satisfied with a point in London.

apparently the Stones transfer situation getting messy, where Stones had to check into a hotel with security as supporters are getting a bit too emotional about this...as much as I do understand. Being an Everton fan is a lot like being a Mets/St. John's fan...all that promise but somehow never able to get over the hump, so to speak. If only we could steal 3pts and shock Chelsea on the 12th, then a top four/five would be a possibility...such a rough stretch to open the season. Can handle the loss to Man City because every team is going to lose to them this season it seems. But if this team can't keep pace early...more banners attached to planes from protesting supporters...ugh, what a mess.

peace

Stalemate at WHL but bohemian shockcity as Liverpool and Chelsea lose @ home. Arsenal (sans Ozil) did just enough to deserve the win despite misfiring forwards. Wenger gets credit for signing this OG guy who has contributed two vital goals this season (and I don’t mean Olivier Giroud). The loss to WHAM does not look so bad now that they took out ‘Pool by 3 at Anfield. Newcastle held Man U last week and of course the win at Palace looks great given their success at Chelsea today. So while Arsenal are not exactly playing well, there seems to be some parity in the EPL but who can stop the Man C steamroller? P4, W4, F12, A0.

Chelsea is done. Was worried by Crystal Palace going into game so it wasn't a total surprise. Pardew always seems ready for Chelsea. Time to shift focus to CL, FA Cup and Capital One.
Ivanovic looks done. Whats up with him. Cesc also seems like shell of himself. Frustrating. They really miss Oscar.

Walcott over Giroud.
No Ozil.

Was Ozil hurt?

Minor knee problem is the official word although there are also rumormongers speculating something else is afoot.

Could have used him yesterday given Walcott was playing but after the red card Newcastle sat so deep there was no space for Walcott to operate. And still he missed a sitter. For a team that has some much creativity, Arsenal are struggling to score but I would be surprised if anyone comes in before the deadline.

Swansea sure love to play Man U these days... Love Gomis goal celebrations.
