Dunn is graduating and will not return next year.

I still don't see Pinzon as a Guard.  He's a true wing.  He's not a guy that is going to play double duty at that spot and he's like 6'6".
Trust me.....Pinzon is definitely a guard. As Paultz stated earlier he is really versatile. More of a 2 guard but he could be a swing guy or a guard and has length. He has good handle and can distribute well. Very good court awareness as well

Not denying that Pinzon can play guard and distribute well, but think he's more in the Justin Simon mold as a point-forward type.  I think he's best used as a wing and can do more damage as a SG/SF type, not as the Dunn combo-guard type who is constantly pushing tempo and driving from top of the key.

as far as replacing Dunn, Blocker looks good as do some of the others.  I'd like to add another freshman to that spot as opposed to a JC-type as we will be losing players after next season and I'd like to see us continue to develop some younger players

Best of luck to Rasheem.  Thanks for all you have given and best wishes on your post SJU endeavours!  That said, your time isn't done yet. Keep kicking butt in the next few week.

Let's get Nick Rutherford 2.0 in here.

Eh... I think our goals are to get past that stage of Nick Rutherfords and making NCAA yearly.  We need to grab much bigger talent than the Nick Rutherford's imho, as much as I liked the kid.

Dunn and Rutherford were great gets for where we were at the time.     I agree, we have to do better to challenge at the top of the league.  Both exceeded expectations.

Posh is a big hill to look up at. May not be easy to get a freshmen point guard who is both talented recruit and willing to come in behind a Sophomore stud. I would love for ten minutes off the bench from Nick Rutherford 2.0.

Whatever PG we bring in is going to be sitting behind a potential First Team All BE player who is going to avg 30+ minutes.

An experienced, competent utility guy who doesn't commit TOs and can D up is what we need.

There are so few true point guards, I don' tsee that as an issue.  A top notch combo would be great to have.

Agree with Beast.  Just need a combo guard who can pull double duty.  Keep McGriff around as another pure  Pg-type.

I agree with that. Would be harder to get a pure point guard who is better than a Nick Rutherford or Mgriff to come in as a freshmen right now is my point. Blocker seems like a guy who will be better with the ball in his hands but not sure if he’ll run a team. That translates loosely to combo guard.

One thing Anderson has shown this year is that he plays the best players, almost regardless of position.  He's gone small upfront with Juliam, Marcelly\us and Dylan for stretches.

For those of you worrying about a second point being afraid of sitting in Posh's shadoe, Dunn and Posh both started the majority of games and played major miutes together.  Plus Anderson likes to rotate players, often sitting Julian and Posh relatevely early in the first half,

Yukon won a national championship with two traditional point guards playing together.

Bottom line is I think we shouldn't get too hung up on traditional descriptions of positions on the court.  It's up to Mike and the staff to convince potential point guards/ball handlers of his vision for them on the team.

And Rasheem, thanks for the last two years hope you go out in style.

Wish Rasheem the best, a warrior who leaves it all on the court. A bit similar to my former favorite Johnnie, Justin Simon, in that while he does lots of things very well, has one or two holes in his game which gets him more than his share of board criticism. In both cases, team guys who always gave 100%, came up big in some nice wins we wouldn't have gotten without them and can play on my team anytime!

He plays point when he represents Puerto Rico, and he plays it well  He's not Posh at PG, but he's better than Dunn.   He's not a true wing, he's a combo guard who can play wing.

For as many times as he was frustrating to watch, there were just as many times when he was a joy to watch.

i thank him for all he's done here and I wish nothing but the best for him going forward. I do hope he continues to play somewhere. He definitely has the heart of a lion.

Congrats to Mr. Dunn for getting his degree!  I am sure he will find success in his future endeavors and I will be rooting for him!  Seems like he is all heart and effort, which makes him easy to root for as a fan and appreciate as a teammate. Good luck Rah!

Rasheem, hand on his heart during national anthem. That right there tells me a lot about this young man.
