I think if anything just from what you could see, Wusu would have been my guess for sick as he wasn’t dressed it appeared. Still, just like you and the rest of us NC, wondering what the deal was in a big game. Neither guy not playing should be news.
yea we shouldn't be sweeping it under the rug we should actually be screaming it from the roof tops to spin the narrative.

we ONLY lost by 11 on the road to a top 25 team missing two key rotational pieces!!

Ya hear that NCAA committee???

“We have no skill”
Hopefully NCAA did not watch the telecast

As much of a must-win as a team can have in early December. A loss here would be the beginning of the end of the CMA era.

well; being that every 5 years the admin goes into rebuild mode then we are in great mid-season form for the fans that want a new coach. IMO, CMA is the best coach we can attract at this time who has no baggage. Lots of bball left.

This is ridiculous, and in a way, much worse than the NY Jets forums that I frequent. I checked in this morning expecting some backlash from the usual suspects. Instead, I’ve read speculation on the “real reason “ 2 players didn’t play. I’ve read about upcoming “fire CMA” chants. I’ve read about the beginning of the end of the CMA era. Etc,etc, etc. Off a loss on December 4th. Guys, relax. Let’s give it a few weeks before lighting the torches.

Gotta love the transfer talk in early December after the first loss.

Please tell, who's not happy, and about to transfer?
I didn't say "mid-season" transfer but it may be inevitable given the make up of this team. If losses pile up, players will become disenchanted and think they didn't get their fair shot at helping the team. Coaches have to figure out better rotations than we see now when the team, especially Posh and Curbelo, are not clicking.
A positive was the insertion of Pinzon who can shoot.
A negative was Storr who is not showing pure shooter form early on.
There is no one player that can carry the team so coach Anderson has to figure out the right substitutions quicker than yesterday's first 11 minute embarrassment which basically cost us the game.

once they rattle off 3 wins in a row things will ease up...just a little

Jones forcing long threes. He needs to take them in flow but again other teams know he is our best player. Neither point can or really should shoot threes. Either Mathis who has improved has to shoot more or Pinzon and or Storr has to play regular minutes.
Jones needs to star off trying to score in the paint and close in, then move out. He tends to try the opposite and if they donkt fa,, right away, he presses and monad shots start to flow as he “forces” it.

Don't want to say I told you so but....First Loss = Fire Coach.

This board thinks when the sun sets on Monday, Tuesday will never come.

Lets go 0-4 in conference and then fire the coach.

Deal?

The Florida Coastline contingent needs to relax, rest assured the Jamaica crowd is going to be unrelenting Wednesday night. Pull your recliners back another notch and take another sip before you post again. This is a long and hard fought season, one which will be a ton of fun over the next 3 months. It is very unfortunate that the Confederate keyboard crew can’t join us on what will be a very successful IMAY4 Winter ahead.

Big Red in the IST thread you had mentioned that Omar is sick and Dylan was benched. It’s the only report bc ESPN is inept and no local reporter traveled.

Having to bench a player in such a huge game for us does not bode well at all for a junior who is already underperforming. If I remember correctly Dylan was also benched during a DR game, forgive me if I’m off.

Is Omar’s sickness the same bug that Mathis caught earlier last week? He would’ve been huge for us today and need him back asap. Thanks.

Btw I agree, avoid a street game and we will be repairing a lot of the holes on both sides of the ball from today. Play DePaul’s game and we are in danger similar to the Chicago matchup last season.

Dylan was quite vocal in cheering the team on at the IS game . I think he learned his lesson .

Agree 100% - Jones is excellent around the basket, he is a good slasher and he has a good knack for the offensive boards. Emphasize that early in the game.

Don’t worry, we’ll hold down the fort in the game against Florida State while your temperatures drop and your oil/gas heating costs surge and you are watching the game under your blankets. 😂👍

Need a new long sleeve for the winter?
Make sure you're one of the first 2,500 fans at the @StJohnsBBall BIG EAST home opener to receive a St. John’s long sleeve!
