@DePaul, Tue., Mar. 5, 9p, FS-1

Good win, fun to watch everything clicking.

That said, I am tempering enthusiasm as DePaul's defensive performance was as bad as I have ever seen.

We have some confident players out there now offensively. Complement that w equal attention on D & Johnnies could make some noise. I didn’t think they could get off deck after that 8 out of 10 losing streak.
I think we are the exact same caliber team we’ve been all year. We beat up lesser teams, hold our own against similar teams, and struggle against good teams.

The only two things that get me to think otherwise are the offensive rebounding and when we share the ball and let it find the open man.

When Dingle, Alleyne, and Ledlum are on the floor together 1+1+1 = more than 3. Taylor might be the 4th in that equation. I don’t think those are our best 4 players but I do think that is the only group of 3-4 where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

You do realize we won BIG. Plus we beat creightin , on a winning streak. It's march and our season is totally alive (first time that has been said in Many years). Dingle now the player we all were expecting. Even after a great game people find something negative to say

Out of curiosity, is there much of an impact to the Net that was beat DePaul by 27 as opposed to say 42?

So did it just click for Wilcher? He’s more aggressive overall. Dribbling is improved. Decisive with the pick and roll. Shot on the money.

Starting to see why he was a borderline 5 star/ top 15 kid when he committed to UNC. Really heating up and showing how dangerous he could be in Pitino’s offensive sets. 3 level scorer which is big

With rhe offense we're getting from Jenkins, Dingle, etc, and with the vastly improved inside play of Zuby, we no longer need a big game from Joel in order to come away with a W. Even against the better teams in the conference.
Agree offensively but he must hold his own defensively against the better bigs and not allow career nights.

Mission accomplished. Needed a laugher and got one. Let's not over analyze, just be glad we did what was expected and had to be done. Now Georgetown must be dealt with the same way. B.E. Tourney looms LARGE. That is our finals week. Cram now. We can analyze players games later.

Disagree.

Something has definitely clicked over the past five games, for the team and for a number of individuals, most notably Dingle. Even your boy Jenkins has cut down on the hero ball (probably because with Dingle in a groove now its not necessary). There is a more concerted effort to share the ball. The defense has definitely improved. Everyone seems to have finally accepted their roles.

Talent-wise, yeah, we're the same. Team-wise? No way. It took a damn while, but we are peaking.

Agree with this. There are more parts working successfully together to make a stronger offensive team and the defense has been pretty good. Only outlier (backward progress) is Joel But, that may have facilitated the others to fit better, I don't know. If he was able to be more consistent, it would help, but with Zuby's better play, and the offense being more multi-faceted, I think we are clearly a better team and peaking.
