@DePaul, Tue., Feb. 14, 9p, FS-1

I literally do not understand those who say "you shouldn't foul 100% of the time" in that situation. There is no argument otherwise. None. When there is only time for one shot, foul. It's silly to think otherwise.

I will defend this to the death

Speaks to the incompetence of DePauls coaching staff.

You can lose if you foul. If you don’t, then OT is the worst case. That’s the argument. To say there is none is silly.

Whenever I get too down on my life as a sports fan I always try and keep things in perspective and thank God each night that I'm not a De[aul fan

Sadly as is the case of St John’s, DePaul under Ray Meyer was once a great program. I had the pleasure of hanging out with Meyer after a coaches clinic in Philadelphia in the early 80s. Just a great man and outstanding coach/technician. If he saw this DePaul team play tonight, he would be turning over in his grave.

Vegas has the amount of yawning by you tonight during your rapid reaction at 7. Dont wait till tomorrow morning to film it I bet the over

One of the ugliest Division I basketball games I have ever seen. Here are a few Lupica-Style comments......

My son's 5th grade travel team is a more savvy bunch. They're also better coached (if I do say so myself).

Give David Jones credit. He decided he would be tonight's hero. The only problem is that he wasn't the hero even after taking 150 shots trying to be.

Now that it's mid-February, I am glad we have figured out how to defend the perimeter. Otherwise we would still be watching our opponents shoot dozens of wide-open threes......that might get frustrating.

CMA's handling of Omar Stanely is brilliant. Since the season is lost anyway, why play one of our best +/- guys? Keeping him on the bench will dissuade other teams from luring him into the portal. This is an awesome strategy.

Lastly, I think DePaul needs Rick Pitino as bad as we do.
