DePaul, Tue., Dec. 17, 6:30p, Peacock

DePaul is still DePaul until proven otherwise is League play. Aside from maybe Seton Hall, who are they expected to beat?

They should get 4 wins out of Georgetown, Seton Hall and Butler. I think they can get wins against Villanova and Providence as well. And they will bite someone in the ass someplace. 7 league wins for them is the over/under mark I think

They missed their chance against Providence already. Don’t think they’ll be able to steal the one at the dunk but who knows in this sport.

I’ll take the under on 7 as I think that’s their ceiling but they won’t be a free win for anybody anymore especially in Chicago

I’m watching DePaul/Wichita St right now (65-60 Blue Demons middle of second half)

DePaul actually looks like a serviceable power conference team this year. Wild difference from past DePaul teams. Don’t know how many big east wins they get when it’s all said and done but they won’t be the same pushover

I was there too, DePaul player bricked a free throw, immediately ran into the lane for the rebound before the ball hit the rim. Refs were doing something else at the time.

At least there was an interesting expo the next day at the airport hotel before my flight left...

Dallas Comegys was the Depaul player.

“Deivon Smith is also bringing his lunch pail and hard hat to every game, leading the Red Storm in Bart Torvik’s adjusted defensive rating with 88.7 (ranks fifth among Big East players). Smith also leads the Red Storm in three-point percentage with 38.5% and is in the top three on the team in rebounds per game (5.8) and assists per game (4.8). Smith is showing he deserves more minutes and reps as the point-of-attack defender.”

Hypothetical - Zuby is in early foul trouble, which never happens so we haven’t really seen the predicament - who is assigned to Skogman, Vince or Prey?
