Somewhere in the Bay area Steve Lavin is saying....."Miss me now"? Mullin is a great guy and and a great hall of Famer...but he is no Coach.. That was painfully evident tonight.
 
In the Post Carnesecca era, there have been many, many embarrassing losses.. Just Remember the Former Coach left this cupboard totally bare and deserved to be canned.. You can dump on Mullin all you want but, many of you forget how many awful losses occurred in the DLO, Harkless, Pointer,, Sampson Obepka era too!
 
Let me get this straight, Kenpom had us ranked 99, Delaware State at 341 and they were 23 point dogs? The outcome would suggest the exact opposite.

Our guys need to watch the film of this game and pick up some tips on how to play some D, box out, muscle for rebounds. Ball movement is very poor, too many prayers hoisted up. Need to find the open man, get an inside game going... Going to be a very long season. :(

He never claim to be just hope he not about to throw one of the staff under the bus
 
St. John's just lost to a Delaware State team that was 1-5 coming into the game -- and the Hornets lone victory came against D-3 Summit. Delaware State was 7-25 last season and finished 5-11 in the MEAC. This is not good for Chris Mullin -- or Greg St. Jean. Johnnies have dropped 5 straight.

I hope each player, and the coaching staff and A.D., are embarrassed right now. Thy should be. Hopefully, they learn from this. If not, I have no sympathy for any of them.
 
There's a lot of places to place blame, but for me, it's the frontcourt. Owens is shockingly awkward, and Sima and Yakwe are "new" to the game. We do not have nearly as much talent as we thought we had.

Doesn't soften tonight's loss. We are not improving and, in fact, are getting worse in all respects
 
2 mins left, down ten you have to start fouling if you don't get the steal in the back court. Where is the basketball IQ?
