This actually had me thinking. Can anyone recall a team we've played at CA that brought out a sizeable fan representation? Id actually be curious to hear, because I've always been under the impression opposing fans so not show up to games at CA.
Years back Seton Hall had a bus load of students coming to CA, but the driver went to MSG and they did not arrive until the second half. True story lol

LIU, when they beat us with Richie Parker and the Rutgers transfer who wound up leading the nation in scoring (I don't remember his name). The had almost the entire upper level opposite the benches, and they were loud.

Obviously, that had to do with Parker, because they've never brought a crowd like that since.

Chris Rock was asked last year about doing those high paying, private comedy gigs, often for corporations.

They usually want to see a script of your jokes for their review so they can edit them out. When ask what he does when asked to remove an offensive joke, he paused, then smiled and said, "That's the first one I tell!"

Again no offense.
When Billy Joel released “Only the Good Die Young” he was going to do a concert in St Louis, and the then bishop there asked that he not play that song since, in his view, it was disrespectful to Catholics. Joel played it twice. Kinda punk thing to do, but “artists” don’t like to be told what to do or perform.

The internet has officially jumped the shark
Can someone explain to me why this is the "theme" for today's game? I mean, I'm not going to do anything other than what I usually do, which is put on some SJU gear, show up, and root for the team (with the occasional "Pass The Damn Ball" shot at RJ). But inquiring minds want to know. Is it the anniversary of the movie coming out or something?

Anniversary of when they filmed at the MSG game vs Marist

i saw that they are selling "In the Face" t-shirts.... Only if* they are limited to todays game- would one of you mind getting me an XL... we can work on deets for the exchange later?

My favorite team and my favorite movie coming together today. This is the worst case of FOMO I have had for a St. John's game in a long time. If anyone is willing to sell the swag they pick up at the game, please message me! Go Johnnies-dunk it in the face!

Rough night for KU as they lost senior Archie Marshall for the season due to a knee injury in the first half.
Larry was upset we got a favorable whistle as we went to the free throw line 49 times to their 31.

We had just lost to Kansas a few weeks prior at Allen Field House where the refs were more to his liking. Anyway a great win for our Johnnies as the Jayhawks won the championship that year behind ‘Danny and the Miracles.’
Kansas beat us at MSG the year before, on a pair of free throws, after we blew a sizeable lead.

I remember KU beat us a few weeks prior, as you stated espken, in Lawrence as the game was televised on USA Network during the '87-'88 season.

You’re asking the wrong guy here.

I had forgotten that one - I was up there and you are correct.
