How's this scenario--we play them in MSG on a Thursday night starting at 9PM and then league has Uconn play at Creighton at noon on Saturday; Or league has them Marquette for a 9 PM on the Saturday of MLK weekend followed by a Noon game in MSG on MLK day
 
I don't care about the honors...there's a lot of politics there. I think he will get results. He will create some chaos on both ends. He will set guys up offensively. And he should be exciting.

The biggest thing is that I think he will make others around him better and that is the primary role of a PG. I also think everyone will love playing with this kid.

But I also thought the Mets would be 2 games up on the Braves at the end of August so what do I know?

"He just reacted the wrong way, which players will do, and the team has told him that he can't react that way and they made their stand. I told the entire team, winning, losing, playing great, playing poorly, this is the standard we set. This is how we expect you to act, anybody who doesn't act like that doesn't play."

So i guess there was a there there.

I like the let the team handle the discipline thing. Sometimes that's the best way to diffuse a situation
 
Guess he was asked vs. proactive...and perhaps better to get ahead of it, especially if he still chooses to not start Smith (good chance) and/or play him minimally on Sat.
 
Last post for awhile. Dev is a really good kid and a tremendous basketball player. Know him a LONG time. He was wrong. He knows he was wrong. Not excusing it in any manner but the happens WAY more then you know. Reason you don't know is it's kept in house. Coach is one of the greatest of all time but this is not how personally i would have handled it

What he did was told by someone directly sitting behind the bench down there. He reacted poorly but the fact is/was pitino cost us the game by keeping Richmond in. That's fact.

Pitino cost us the Baylor game also by keep Smith on the bench for so long in the 2nd half and having in the game at the for that in-bounds play.
