I don’t think it needs to come from Prey, especially when judging whether he had a good or bad game.

We need that scoring from improved three point shooting from starters and piecing together 5-15 minutes from Ayo/Lefty/Glover. Those three should be expected to give us something in the scoring column.
 
gwow... so went back to see to purchase two more tickets in 314 (there were 20 left two days ago in that sec) .... not only are there none there... the entire North Bridge... 300s got sold out...? random single spots left...

even the 400s are selling... this is gonna be some crowd on Sunday... cause i never felt like Creighton had a presence at MSG, so doubt its their fans...

Wilcher can certainly keep up with beer league guy but he has a tendency to make unnecessary fouls and you don't want to foul a guy who shoots close to a 100 percent at the line and probably has bowled a couple of perfect games when he isn't playing basketball.

I think even without Smith, we have sufficient scoring if we stick to what we do best: midrange shots; O rebounding and put backs, and if your main guys (Zuby, KR, Luis, Scott, Wilcher) do what they are supposed to. Bad game by any could kill us in any game. That's why it is important o get something from any of the others (Ayo, Glover, Prey or Lefty). I am not sure why the staff has the green light for them to shoot 3s. That usually plays into the opponent's hands. We've been able to overcome that most of the time so far. Not against Nova. I know that we hit more than usual against Nova, but that is fool's gold. If we had taken less, and taken more makeable midrange shots at a much higher hit rate, we win, despite everything else.

I think the big loss w Smith is on the rebounding, transition and defensive end.

From who? How many guys come off the bench in college and excel at offense, defense, and rebounding? Prey is outstanding on defense, a decent rebounder, and still has to find his role on offense -- which likely won't happen this year. Next year he will be driving with regularity, posting up, and hitting outside shots. Let's try him at the 5 with Zuby resting so he can operate in the middle. He always comes in at the 4 with Zuby or Vince clogging the lane.

He's only played 175 minutes for his college career and is just a freshman. That's 5 games for Richmond or Zuby. Let that sink in.

Agree, but if they're not scoring, then Prey's lack of scoring does become a problem.
 
Prey is a work in progress. His defense is much improved from his first outings.

Yes, our fans are rising to the occasion with their wallets as much as the team has been rising to the occasion with their defense. Complete sellouts against teams not named Ucant is amazing! Hearty round of applause to...us!
