Shouldn't the play be to keep Zuby on the perimeter to draw Kalk out of the lane and then let RJ and Kadary work their magic? It would seem that those two should be able to get to or near the basket anytime they want against Creighton and then Zuby can crash the offensive boards as the shot goes up. It will certainly test his motor, but I have to think Zuby is faster than Kalk and can beat him to the boards.

Our D should be able to turn Creighton over enough to create opportunities in fast breaks, but in the half court we have to pick up the shooting and hit our spots in the paint and not jack up 3's.

Our strategy should be to have Ayo bee line drive right at Kalkbrenner 5-10 times in a row with the intent to either get fouled or knock him back to Omaha

I think Pitino might be better going big in this game for some periods. I actually feel better with Prey on Kalkbrenner defensively than having Zuby on him. Play Zuby at the 4 and Prey at the 5 with Kadary, Scott and RJ.

Let me tell you something Mean Gene. Prey needs to be on the bench as much as possible. He cant score.

Nova has set the blueprint that all teams will use against us moving forward. I have faith Pitino will adjust.
 
I think the point that several posters are making is that Prey and to a much lesser amount Vince can grab a few minutes to throw a taller lineup at opponents .

I agree , neither have shown any ability this year , for offensive contributions .

Against Creighton , then can push Kalkenbrenner around a bit and give him someone of his size to deal with
Even , if it’s only for 2 or 3 possessions .

A bunch of my friends who work in finance who work in the city but don't live in the city who are Casual Johnnie fans who once and while go to weeknight games I'm shocked how many of them got tix ( some from their companies but others bought ) to go to this game this weekend. Even though we are off the next day the last thing any of these guys ever wants to do is head back into the city on a weekend

One of my other buddies texted me and one of my work partners today offering us tix in his companies suite sunday. I told him thanks but I only sit in 114. Even free beer and free food and suite offer isn't enough for me not to be with our 114 crew.

Can't wait till sunday !!!!

FIVE of the last SIX games will be played in the next TWO weeks.
Dev Smith will be available on March 8th for Marquette even if Rick has to play him in a full body cast!😉
 
Wilscher on the 31 yr old father of two does not give me comfort. Boy do we miss Smith.
