This just came up on my ESPN alert. Cragg has provided Mullin with a “public show of support”. Nothing else was mentioned. Take it for what it is worth.

This should make us oh so attractive to recruits. We ain't gettin nobody!

Just guessing, but I bet Mullin is demanding the final two years of his contract.

Winner. Mullin/ Richmond
Loser. Cragg
Mullin won't even give Cragg the time of day anymore. He won the battle and will probably spend even more time out on the west coast.

Perhaps not

I would not conclude that just yet.

Without inside information, it's impossible to speculate what's going on. Right now, I am hoping to hang onto our players and add two assistant coaches.

Ultimately, Mullin is not the man for this job. Whenever the transition does occur, I hope Cragg can minimize setbacks.

There's money available for it, but perhaps Cragg doesn't want the candidates who are being pushed by donors.

I can see that. If Matt was only loss, they knew it was high probability and should have then had a replacement lined up and announced.

The more I think about it, the more I agree with those who think Cragg's statement was more of a negotiation tactic than a public relations release.

At this point idc whether Mullin is staying or going. What I do care about is that we have no one to replace our only recruiter a week later he left. We have lost our PG for next year. We need someone on the job asap trying to grab someone. It's ridiculous. Either get rid of Mullin or get this coaching staff bs together.

You apparently have some information. Which donor is coming up with 5 million or so to cover 2 years of Mullin and staff? I really am not aware

If anything it may be an indication that Mullin isn't resigning and SJU isn't eating 2 years of salary.

Sounds like someone is willing to write the check, but we have to hire Matt Doherty. ;)

I think the statement is posturing at this point. I believe Mullin sees the future is hopeless and wants to get paid and Cragg wants to move on without paying.
