Good question, Rick’s awesome marketing job from point of hire on was incredibly attention getting, but “same old St John’s flue” can lessen casual fan interest. Program is obviously in better hands and in next year or probably two imo hopefully is at a level to draw beyond the die hard fans.Though how many losses at MSG will it take for NYC casuals who jumped back aboard for Pitino to quit on us again
I pledge not to get too optimistic about our portal conquests until they play some games, Monte’s lament forever. Apparently they have adequate $$ to get “talent” but ok to choose wisely. Not bashing anyone, but re RJ, get portal guys less athletic, more blue collar & with interest in defending. In fairness staff had limited time to identify targets and confident we will do better in April.
