Connecticut (MSG), Sat., Feb. 25, 12 Noon, CBS

I would agree, but we all know it's done for the money. Today felt like at least 60% UConn fans which is not only embarrassing, but it makes it worse that they chant and act like it's their own home court.

Honestly it used to feel the same way with Syracuse which was equally embarrassing.

But at the end of the day, I agree it doesn't give us a home court advantage at all.

If we are a serious, prideful program (regardless of the financials) you do not call that a home game. For godsake we had senior night in front of a crowd that was 50% for the opossing team. What a joke!

I liked how Clark Kellogg kept driving home the fundamental (coaching) mistakes we see every game: repeatedly saying there's no movement, too many isolation plays, step behind on defense. He was frustrated, and clearly stated a few different times during the second half that SJU roster has a lot of talent, but suffers from poor half court execution (aka street ball) and poor decision making. Amen Clark, amen.
I was listening on the radio, a St. John’s station, and the announcer said UCONN set good screens ,had good ball movement and we play disorganized.

That's some comment coming from someone who sleeps with a UCONN fan 😉

God bless all the Johnny fans in msg today.

That game never felt within reach once uconn got up 8-10 points. No identity except for being a poor team.
Nope, never did anything to get a sizable SJ crowd engaged, The one possible moment was immediately lost when Wusu got a dumb tech. Lead was cut to 9, crowd getting into it, UCONN calls timeout and Wusu has to do something unnecessary and had the nerve to complain to the refs.

Very discouraging and listening to all the talking heads on TV does not make it sound any better. After the G'town win all they talked about was how a storied program like G'town needs to get better and how they can do it. No mention of St. Johns and their needs or program. Even now articles about what a bad job the St. Johns gig would be; "dilapidated campus", terrible facilities, can't keep talent home. Horrible to see how irrelevant this program has become. The only bright spot might be that Shanley has seen what a winning program can do for a school and its facilities. We need to hit a home run with the next coaching hire but listening to the "talking heads" it would have to be a mid major coach who can succeed; no way we land a Patino,
Basketball facilities may be sub par but Campus isn’t dilapidated.

Basketball facilities are not sub-par. Schools like Providence, Seton Hall, DePaul, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's,
and many other catholic schools don't have anything special to offer in campus or athletic life that is not available in the greatest city in the world.
We have just not capitalized on our location. Lavin came close. The others played SJ for every penny that benefited them. Anderson has been no different.
You want a depressing campus location, go visit Seton Hall.

This is the 20 year old kid who wrote that our campus is dilapidated:

The kid transferred to St. John's and its dilapidated campus. As if Rose Hill in da Bronx is like being at Peperdine overlooking the Pacific ocean. LMFAO!

Is the location actually great though? If St. John's were located where NYU is, then we'd really have something.

As I have repeated, I cannot understand why we continue to play UCONN at MSG. It's embarrassing for the fans and demoralizing for the players. It's, at best, adding a neutral site conference game to our schedule.

I attend most every game, but I am done with SJU/UCONN games at MSG. I don't want to hear about the revenue factor or any other excuse. Can we have some pride and not yield a "garden party" to one of our conference rivals? It's not good for recruiting and it's not good for the brand. It's just short-sighted and dumb. Move the game to Carnesecca or UBS Arena. Otherwise, I am watching this game from home next

Why they keep doing Senior Day at MSG is beyond me.
