If the ball was in their court they'd be able to hire a lawyer. Because the NBA has a lot of lawyers and the NCAA has a lot of lawyers and all those lawyers are more sophisticated than 19 year old coddled athletes and they're bound to represent zealously the interests of the NBA and the NCAA and if that involves screwing some 19 year olds our of their birthright they'll do it and get a bonus for it.

All these kids are getting legal advice one way or the other. Its just part of the charade; everyone has to act like they're not. Just like everyone has to act like all these one and done kids were actually student-athletes.

I'm aware of how the system works, I'm disagreeing with the notion that 'the NBA tells them all they need to know.' Which is laughable. People shouldn't have to skulk around to exercise their rights and a system that forces them to is corrupt and illegitimate.
