Coaching Carousel

If he's truly not interested then he would issue a statement like Oats did. This is just playing games.
whether you a buyer or seller you owe it to all parties to negotiate. The interesting thing would be if Drew days no will UK have the patience to wait on Donovan who has publicly stated his ‘focus is on the bulls’. I think it would be a guilty pleasure if mine to see UK down to its 6th or 7th choice. But Drew and Donovan saying no are huge ifs.

I would also like to announce that I am stripping out of the running for the vacant UK post.

My TV guide is wrong all the time. So unless the guy actually watched to confirm this means nothing.

And even then, what is the restaurant owner is just a really big Family Feud fan and on-demanded it?

This what gets me. I agree you can argue John Calipari has underachieved since say 2020 based on the talent he has acquired and where they have gone in the NCAA's. That is fair.

But Scott Drew won a NC in 2021 and the last 3 years he has failed to get out of 2nd round as a 1, 3 and 3 seed. You can argue that is a underachievement. And this is not a knock on Drew who obviously is a future Hall of Famer. And that reclamation project at Baylor is one of the great turnarounds ever. But what makes Kentucky fans think his NCAA record will be significantly better than John's? Because that is why you pushed him out right?

I mean they were projected to be a 2 seed in 2020 when it was cancelled. Missed it in 2021, but were a 2 seed in 2022 losing to St. Peter's, a 6 seed last year and a 3 this year. That is not that bad even for Kentucky.

Bruce Pearl is a terrific coach, he lost this year as a 4 in the first round. But you are going celebrate his hiring while pushing Cal out for doing the same thing?

And Sean Miller is a terrific coach. Again not a knock. But go look at his last few years at Arizona, could be argued underachieved.

Are you trying to gift wrap Pitino for them??

I’m still pretty confident Pitino isn’t going anywhere but I would like to not have to check in on my confidence level again. Please wrap this up, Kentucky.
