Coaching Carousel

I think they will opt for a bigger name than Shaheen at this point . Sean Miller ? Or , someone still Coaching in the Tournament .
Would Shaka be offered the job ? Pays more than Marquette . Maybe . Maybe not ?

If Cooley hadn’t taken the Hoya job , he would be a very good fit for the Cards . But , bad timing .

I would think too , L’ville might like out of the ACC at some point .

There are lots of names for then to choose from . Big Names .
The Louisville AD said that he was looking for someone who "will crawl here to coach this basketball program because that’s how much it means to them." That doesn't sound to me like he's looking for a big name. But who knows?

Don‘t take this as a slam at Pitino Jr., but Louisville and Michigan are looking at coaches with shakier resumes than DePaul did. I’m finding it all very weird.
I get the feeling that Holtmann was going to say yes to the first decent job that came along.

Like Mike Anderson, he comes across as a coaching lifer, who has very few interests outside of the sport.

While that's worked for some people, there are many who have flamed out because of it.

Louisville seemed like a botched search from the beginning. I'm of the opposite mind on this: I'm shocked they will end up with a candidate as good as Little Ricky. At least there's name recognition. I don't think they can get away with hiring the guy from Bellarmine.

I remember a similar search six years ago closer to home. Fan base for the most part was surprised they got someone with good credentials the way it was playing out. It did not end well for that program and coach.
