His son was an assistant coach on one of the teams in that tournament (now he's at UCONN, I believe). That's why he was there.

Just saw that Michigan got May for under $4M.

I think that's quite the bargain for them, and I suspect Louisville offered more, so lots of egg on the face so far this search for them if Kelsey doesn't happen.

I was just going to type that USC always seems like a sleeping giant, but I can't think of any big conference coach off the top of my head who'd be interested.

The Xavier job isn't big enough for a guy with an ego as large as his. I've always felt he took the job knowing he wouldn't be there for long.
