He won't land at a school with better facilities.

If Temple can build this in the middle of an American city, why can't we?

Recall hearing Bill Cosby gave a very large donation toward the arena and they had another 25 million dollar donor towards it. Been my life long dream for us to build something similar but if it is on campus would have to be smaller than Temple's !0,000 seat arena more in the 7-8,000 because of zoning laws.

Good foresight not going with “Cosby Court”

I know every five years or so I probably suggest burying a giant arena, but can't ever remember if posters tell me that that doesn't skirt zoning laws like I think it would.

Dick Weiss who I love but who has not had a scoop in about 20 years said that ND is targeting Chris Holtmann. That led to a news reporter for Columbus TV station to ask Chris about it and he reiterated what he had said a few days ago that he is committed to Ohio St and has no plans on going anywhere.

Sounds like Chris Mack may be in the mix for the USF job which I think would be a good spot for him. Low pressure, decent ceiling

He did say he was in the process of moving to Florida in the same piece he said he wasn’t interested in coaching this cycle

I put zero weight any time a coach says anything along the lines of "I'm not interesting in this coaching cycle" "I'm fully committed to (school I'm at) and haven't considered going anywhere else".

They might be telling the truth but there have been countless times a coach says that and then 24 hours later the quote becomes "this is just the perfect opportunity that I could not pass up"

Yeah but I also have a hard time imagining south Florida is an opportunity he wouldn’t usually be able to pass up unless it made sense at the time.

I hear you completely about not taking coaches words as gospel. He’s got two daughters both heading to Florida next year for volleyball. Maybe Florida at this time is just the the right fit.

If you're Pitino, which job is better: SJU or Providence? If Cooley left, would Providence even offer the job to Pitino? I don't know the answers, but I don't think it's far-fetched to ask the questions.
For Cooley, I wonder what the allure is of G'town over PC; while G'town is historically a nice brand that needs to be resurrected, and DC is a better city, he is revered and in a good place at PC.

For Pitino,, the lure of games at MSG and resurrecting a moribund program like St. John's, while still living in an area in which he is comfortable, should place us ahead of PC.

At this point in their careers, you would think money is not the determinitive factor.

If this happens I’m thinking Providence stays in house and promotes Battle to HC. He’s got everything youd want
