Champ from Zach's article:

“One thing I can say is the guys aren’t done fighting. We’ve had a rough year, ups and downs, some games we should’ve won, some games we gave away. But we’re not done. I don’t know what anybody else thinks — I don’t really care what anybody else thinks — the players are not done. We’re not done fighting.”

This is why it bugs me that posters are saying the season is over. With the automatic bid, it's not truly over until we lose there.

I will root like heck but the season is over.

Rooting for the team to succeed and hoping for a miracle run in the Big East tourney, while at the same time trying to find positive signs for next season, can be done at the same time. While I don't see us making much noise in the Big East tourney, I am throwing a few bucks on us to win as a long shot. I'm not confident that we can put it all together this late in the season, but if we can then I believe we have just enough talent to make a run.

I will root for us to win each of the last two games in the regular season regardless of what it means.  But I would much prefer a potential matchup with Providence in the Big East tournament.  I really think they’re beatable.  I think it’s highly unlikely we beat Villanova.  If we can’t beat DePaul then it doesn’t really matter who we play so I’m not too concerned  about whether we play Butler or DePaul first.

Good idea.  I'll join you on this one.

Eric I think we'll get some very good odds with a good hedging opportunity.

You play to win the game, And to become a better player and a better team.

QUEENS, N.Y. (March 2, 2022) – St. John’s junior Julian Champagnie has been named one of the five finalists for the Julius Erving Award, presented annually by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to the top small forward in the nation.

Champagnie, the second-leading scorer in the BIG EAST, joins an impressive fraternity of finalists that includes Duke’s Wendell Moore, Davidson, Hyunjung Lee, UCLA’s Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Rutgers’ Ron Harper Jr.

In addition to being an elite scorer, Champagnie is also the Red Storm’s top rebounder at 6.6 boards per contest and ranks second in the league with 1.9 steals per outing.  The Brooklyn native is one of only four players in the country to average at least 19.0 points and 1.9 thefts per game alongside Washington’s Terrell Brown Jr., Arkansas’ JD Notae and Vanderbilt’s Scotty Pippen Jr.

Even though it wasn’t over when the German’s bombed Pearl Harbor, the Deltas still got kicked out of Faber. Our chances of winning BET same as Senator Blutarsky’s GPA

What is so  crazy about St Johns fans?
Look in the mirror for exhibit A. (Just kidding Duke I'm a golfer and you teed that one up quite high so had to take a swing) /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

Stats ,they sure can deceive. If champ played on a better team I feel his scoring production would have been lower.
He was a good player for us and a stand up team mate. On the other hand if we had few more good players his game could have be fitted we will never know
Wish him luck in the draft and thanks for coming to SJU
