I don’t see the “pent up” interest, like we have here on this board.Third cupcake in a row not going to bring out the crowds unless we are a perennial “powerhouse”.

I was thinking the same exact thing JackPinzon forcing it on offense. Looking like someone who knows Storr might’ve just rose above him on the food chain
I swear when I saw them go to that amoeba looking match up zone I thought of you and said “somewhere Guinness 77 is looking on with a huge smile on his face.”I didn’t see the game but reading the comments…game changed when we went to a zone defense??
Who knew?
You couldn’t choreograph that for a comedy sketch if you tried. Absolutely brutal.I was going to post that it needs the Benny Hill theme, but someone on Twitter obviously had already thought of that.
Hahaha. That’s funny. More than anything, just happy to see the coaching staff make an adjustment/try something different.I swear when I saw them go to that amoeba looking match up zone I thought of you and said “somewhere Guinness 77 is looking on with a huge smile on his face.”
Storr can play obviously
Mathis and WUSU worked hard on their shooting, have to applaud that. As much as I like the 2 point guards, not sure it will work against better teams, especially if keeps Storr on bench….
Not sure trust Stanley as 1st big off bench
This team kind of reminds me of Mullin Junior year.Tend to agree. Let them start together for a few minutes to set tone then alternate breathers with a little overlap the rest of the game. Not sure Stanley will continue to be the first big off the bench once Nyiwe gets back from his mourning/funeral but we'll see I guess.
I like the Wennington/Soriano line. This team kind of reminds me of Mullin Junior year.
2 point guards playing together
Clear cut number 2 option
No clear cut number 2 option
Heck Soriano kind of reminds me of Wennington
Wildcard is Storr
I get extra points for comparing white player to black playerI like the Wennington/Soriano line.
Storr, 16 points, with far more upside then Mathis or Wusu and 4 for 5 from three is pretty impressive. HS rankings usually don’t lie.Mathis and Wusu are going to make playing time very tough for Pinzon and Storr
I would Agree that he has much more upside offensively than those 2. But I think he’s behind in other areas. Scoring from the perimeter however might be the biggest need some games.Storr, 16 points, with far more upside then Mathis or Wusu and 4 for 5 from three is pretty impressive. Again, look at the competition, what would you expect?Attendance reported as 3,611. Not the interest I had hoped for.
This team has the potential to have some nice shooting capability. I hope Pinzon is able to find his shot soon.I am liking Wusu and his 3. Shooting with a lot of confidence.
While I somewhat agree, I think there is more to Storrs arsenal then outside shooting. He goes strong to the basket and is a much stronger rebounder then the others. We will need his physicality for the Big East wars. I would force feed him as much as possible to get him ready.I would Agree that he has much more upside offensively than those 2. This is where the what’s ‘best for now vs what’s best for future’ debate could be valid. Playing Storr 25-30 minutes might be best for his future success. 15-20 minutes might be better for this team.
How many years do we wait before realizing that Pinzon is not that good? If he gets significant playing time it will be because our team is not that good. This team has the potential to have some nice shooting capability. I hope Pinzon is able to find his shot soon.
I was including attacking the basket as offensive potential. How would you quantify him being a much better rebounder than those guys? Both of which have proven to be more than solid as rebounders. While I somewhat agree, I think there is more to Storrs arsenal then outside shooting.
